Who Is Tava Ren? Star Wars Introduces a New Masked Female Knight of Ren

Star Wars has introduced a brand-new character: a mysterious female Knight of Ren named Tava Ren. She was revealed during the Lucasfilm Publishing panel at Star Wars Celebration as part of the upcoming comic series Star Wars: Legacy of Vader.

The comic is still early in its run, with just three issues released so far. But fans already got a look at Tava Ren, who appears on the cover of Legacy of Vader #8, which is coming this summer. Even though her full story hasn’t been told yet, fans are excited and curious.

Tava Ren stands out for a few reasons. First, she’s a woman — something new for the Knights of Ren group, which mostly included male characters in the movies. Second, she’s shown wielding a red lightsaber.

That’s a big deal because, before now, only Kylo Ren and the original leader named Ren used red lightsabers in the group.

We don’t know who Tava Ren is under the helmet. Is she a brand-new character? Or is she someone fans already know, just in disguise? For now, it’s a mystery.

Artist Stefano Raffaele shared early sketches of Tava Ren, showing off her dark, fearsome look.

Her armor and helmet match the Knight of Ren style, but her weapon and presence suggest she may be something more.

The comic’s creators, Charles Soule and Luke Ross, have already changed the way fans look at Kylo Ren’s story. Tava Ren might shake things up even more.
