‘The Boys’ is making its way to theaters for a spectacular final send-off, and it’s doing so in a uniquely immersive manner.

The show’s official X account announced that the fifth and final season finale will be screened in cinemas with 4DX technology. This means that viewers can expect seat movement and other sensory effects while watching the episode. The episode will also be available on Prime Video.

“In two weeks, we’re going out with a bang,” the show’s official X account stated on Tuesday. “Literally, because ya might vibrate watchin’ the series finale in 4DX. Get yer mitts on a seat with the purchase of a concession voucher, which is good towards sweets or soda the day of. See ya May 19 at 9:30 p.m.”

Originally, the finale was set to stream on Prime Video on May 20, but now fans will have the chance to see it in theaters a day earlier on May 19.

This initiative is part of a growing trend where streaming platforms showcase significant episodes in cinemas. Other shows like ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘One Piece’ have also embraced this approach.

Since its debut in 2019, ‘The Boys’ has become one of Prime Video’s most popular series. Based on a comic book, it follows a group known as the Boys who combat corrupt superheroes working for a powerful corporation called Vought.

Created by Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg, the series has spawned spin-offs such as ‘The Boys Presents: Diabolical’ and ‘Gen V’, along with the upcoming prequel ‘Vought Rising’.

The final season reunites the main cast, including Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jensen Ackles, Valorie Curry, and Susan Heyward also make appearances.

The finale episode has a runtime of approximately 63 minutes.
