‘Avengers: Doomsday’ ScreenX Trailer Offers Fans a 270-Degree Multiverse Experience
Marvel Studios has been diligently building excitement for ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ a film that aims to unite heroes from three distinct cinematic universes for the first time. Featuring an impressive cast that includes nearly every actor who has portrayed a Marvel hero, the pressure to create a trailer campaign worthy of such a monumental scale has been immense.
This campaign has heavily utilized premium theatrical formats designed to enhance the film’s immersive experience before audiences even settle in for the main event in December. One of these formats, ScreenX, surrounds the traditional screen with two additional side panels, creating a 270-degree panoramic viewing experience. Marvel has been leveraging this format to showcase footage from ‘Doomsday’ well ahead of its release.
New footage from the ScreenX preview has recently emerged from a theater, highlighting the format’s expanded field of view with fresh imagery spanning all three screens. The clip captures a gripping moment featuring one of the film’s masked heroes against a stormy, tree-lined backdrop, providing fans with another glimpse of the film’s scale and tone.

This isn’t the first time Marvel has employed the ScreenX format to generate buzz for a 2026 release. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ was the first film to shoot additional footage specifically for ScreenX, and this strategy appears to be continuing with ‘Doomsday’ as it approaches its theatrical debut.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is set to hit theaters on December 18, bringing together heroes from the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men on what Marvel describes as a perilous collision course against an existential threat. The film also marks the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, a significant shift for the actor after his years away from the MCU as Tony Stark.
In addition to ScreenX, Disney has introduced a new premium large format called Infinity Vision specifically for this film, promising larger screens, brighter images, and enhanced sound for those seeking the ultimate theatrical experience. Notably, ‘Doomsday’ will share its release date with ‘Dune: Part Three,’ which has secured IMAX screens for three weeks, making formats like ScreenX and Infinity Vision crucial for Marvel to provide its own premium viewing option.

As the film’s December release approaches, Marvel is also re-releasing ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in theaters on September 25 under the banner ‘Endgame: Encore,’ allowing longtime fans to revisit the franchise’s last major team-up before ‘Doomsday’ continues the story. With nearly every notable actor from the franchise’s history reportedly set to appear, the film is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious crossovers Marvel has ever attempted.
As the December release date draws nearer, it’s evident that Marvel plans to keep the marketing momentum at full throttle, utilizing every premium format available to remind audiences just how monumental ‘Doomsday’ is intended to be.
