Milan Fashion Week rewards those who dress for the camera, and Madelyn Cline has been making the most of it. Over the past few days, the ‘Outer Banks’ star has been one of the busiest attendees, showcasing her style through a runway debut, front-row appearances, and street-style moments.

Running from September 22 to 28, this edition features the Spring/Summer 2027 women’s collections, with 54 physical shows and six digital ones. With celebrities like Monica Bellucci, Rachel Zegler, Kelly Rutherford, and Jordyn Woods in attendance, standing out is no easy feat, but Cline seems to have prepared well.

Fresh images of her Etro ensemble have surfaced, shared by fashion account Cinethology on September 24. The photos capture her in golden light, with her hair styled in a high top-knot, posing against a window frame in a sleeveless, semi-sheer dark dress adorned with an intricate print. This appears to be the same piece that garnered attention at Etro’s Spring/Summer 2027 show.

According to theFashionSpot, Cline donned a sleeveless midi dress from Etro’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection, the same design showcased on the runway earlier this year. The dress features olive, mustard, and burgundy tones on a sheer base, complemented by a draped funnel neckline that frames her face, while a dense black feather trim anchors the hem.

The details elevate the dress, with the classic paisley pattern giving it a heritage vibe, while the feathers add weight and movement beneath the sheer fabric, creating a modern aesthetic rather than a costume-like appearance. The translucency of the fabric and the fringe beautifully catch the low sun in the photos.

This was her second Etro outfit of the week, continuing a trend of bold fashion choices that included the ultra-sheer gown she wore to the premiere of the final season of ‘Outer Banks’.

Cline’s Milan adventure kicked off on Tuesday at Vogue World: Milano, held at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, where she made her runway debut during Act III of the presentation. She wore a floral gown from Etro’s Pre-Fall 2026 collection, featuring a fitted corseted bodice, a plunging neckline, and a ruffled mermaid skirt that trailed into a train, layered with a long double-breasted navy velvet jacket.

Off the runway, her casual style has also been noteworthy. Marie Claire reported that she arrived on the first day of fashion week in supportive footwear, including chunky Dr. Martens boots and Adidas’s Samba-inspired Mary Jane sneakers. She styled the Samba Janes with a white crop top, black mini skirt, a matching paisley bandana, and a red Chanel Maxi Flap bag.

The Etro show commenced after sunset, allowing her time to navigate the city’s street-style scene before changing into her sheer dress. The paisley print of her bandana echoed the design of her later outfit.

Sheer dressing has become a hallmark for Cline this year. She wore a barely-there chiffon gown by Siedres for the ‘Outer Banks’ Season 5 premiere and a polka-dot mesh Stella McCartney set for a New York press event in August. Wikipedia notes that the Netflix series ran from 2020 to 2026, making this fashion moment coincide with the show’s conclusion.

The timing is fitting for an actress whose star continues to rise. Cline has also appeared in ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ and the 2025 slasher film ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’, making fashion week a natural platform for her post-‘Outer Banks’ journey.
