‘Nobody Wants This’ Season 3 Trailer Released as Joanne and Noah Move In Together
Netflix’s beloved rom-com duo has spent two seasons demonstrating that falling in love is the easy part. With clashing beliefs, meddling parents, and a complicated conversion question, Joanne and Noah have rarely enjoyed a peaceful week. Now, the streaming giant is teasing a new chapter for the couple in ‘Nobody Wants This’, and fans finally have footage to back it up.
Created by Erin Foster and featuring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, the series follows an agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi who find love despite their vastly different lives. Season 2 was filled with drama, as Joanne’s struggle with commitment led to a breakup, a reunion, and plenty of chaos. It concluded with the couple choosing each other for real.
On Thursday, Netflix unveiled the official trailer for the third season, a 2 minute 6 second preview that confirms Joanne and Noah are entering a much more domestic phase. The season premieres on October 22, featuring all 10 episodes, almost exactly a year after Season 2 was released. One notable moment from the trailer shows Noah carrying a cardboard box to a front door while Joanne watches, perfectly capturing the season’s move-in theme.
“It’s perfect because it’s us.”

Netflix describes the preview as showcasing Joanne and Noah taking their relationship to the next level amidst sibling drama, maternal meddling, and one giant leap of faith. This aligns with the official synopsis, which indicates the couple is moving into a home and a relationship that finally feels stable, embracing every thrilling “first” that comes with building a life together.
The writers intentionally crafted this narrative. Co-showrunner Jenni Konner shared with Netflix Tudum that the guiding theme in the writers’ room was that “This season feels like Champagne.” Co-showrunner Bruce Eric Kaplan noted that the team aimed to allow the couple to settle in and enjoy themselves after the tumultuous events of Season 2.
However, that doesn’t mean everything will be smooth sailing. The trailer hints at tensions from family and friends, and the show is expected to delve into the everyday challenges that arise once a significant romantic decision has been made.
Joanne and Noah aren’t the only characters experiencing changes. Sasha (Timothy Simons) and Esther (Jackie Tohn) are thrust back into the dating scene, whether they want to be or not, while Morgan (Justine Lupe) advances her career toward becoming a media sensation. Netflix also suggests that Sasha and Morgan are circling something neither can openly acknowledge.
Season 2 featured major relationship twists, including Morgan’s engagement to her therapist, Dr. Andy (Arian Moayed), which ultimately fell apart. The new season builds on that with an exciting array of newcomers.

Andrew Rannells joins the cast as Sebastien, a rival for Joanne in her conversion class, while Sarah Silverman portrays Rabbi Eden, the supportive teacher for Joanne and Noah. Keyla Monterroso Mejia plays Amber, a classmate eager to find a Jewish husband, and Avan Jogia takes on the role of Travis, a confident guy who annoys Joanne.
The guest cast also features Poorna Jagannathan as Eleanor, Sadie Sandler as Denise, Stephanie Koenig as Poppy, and Steven Weber as Julian. Creator Erin Foster makes her on-screen debut as a mysterious character named Nicole. Foster has mentioned that Nicole embodies the single, scatterbrained version of herself that Joanne used to be, setting the stage for a confrontation between the newly matured Joanne and her past self.
The show was renewed just two weeks after Season 2 premiered, so fans have eagerly awaited this moment for a full year. With the trailer now released and the premiere date set, the countdown has officially begun.
