‘The Thomas Crown Affair’ Star Adria Arjona Dazzles in Black at Tiffany & Co.’s Paris Event
Tiffany & Co. has spent 2026 reflecting on its rich heritage in the most glamorous fashion. The Blue Book collection, named Hidden Garden, reimagines several of designer Jean Schlumberger’s iconic pieces with fresh color combinations. The brand also showcased its Valentine’s Day campaign featuring ambassador Adria Arjona in a cinematic short film.
This week, Tiffany’s focus on heritage reached new heights in Paris. The luxury jeweler partnered with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs for a four-year initiative to restore and digitize Schlumberger’s extensive archive, which includes over 10,000 items, such as 5,000 drawings and a wealth of documents, photographs, and personal papers. This rare opportunity allows fans to glimpse the sketches behind some of the jeweler’s most celebrated designs.
The launch coincided with Paris Fashion Week, drawing a star-studded crowd. Adria Arjona’s appearance at the Tiffany & Co. Jean Schlumberger presentation was one of the most talked-about highlights. Photos from the event captured the actress in a stunning black off-the-shoulder dress with a sweetheart neckline, accessorized with a gold necklace and her hair styled in a tousled updo. She posed against a navy backdrop featuring Schlumberger’s signature and the handwritten phrase “a pencil.”

Arjona wasn’t alone at the event. Other familiar faces included Diane Kruger, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Greta Lee, Amanda Seyfried, and Anya Taylor-Joy, who posed together in front of a backdrop that read “I am only a pencil.” Just Jared also reported that Cynthia Erivo was among the stars celebrating the partnership.

The phrase is a tribute to Schlumberger, who was known for his long-standing collaboration with the American jeweler. WWD noted that it was a saying of the designer himself.

The dinner celebrated the launch of an immersive exhibition titled ‘I Am Only a Pencil’, curated in collaboration with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. This exhibition traces the journey from a simple stroke of graphite to a finished high jewelry masterpiece, pairing delicate historical works on paper with the exquisite treasures they inspired.

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts also provided scientific expertise for the initiative. The presentation begins with Schlumberger’s original drawings and progresses to photographs and documents that reveal both his creative process and aspects of his personal life.

Schlumberger’s connection to Tiffany dates back to the mid-1950s, and his work has been instrumental in defining the brand since 1956. His most iconic creation, Bird on a Rock, was first designed in 1965 and remains one of the brand’s most recognizable pieces.
Even decades after his passing in 1987, his designs continue to influence Tiffany’s approach to its most prestigious jewelry. At the 2025 Emmys, many stars donned his creations on the red carpet, and his pieces also made appearances at this year’s Golden Globes. This week’s tribute in Paris further underscores the enduring legacy of his work.
The event was a perfect fit for Arjona, who has a strong connection to the brand. She has previously worn Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. jewelry on the red carpet, including a diamond and pink sapphire necklace, along with a collection of rings at a premiere last year. Arjona has also shared Instagram posts featuring the Bird on a Rock pendant as part of her partnership with Tiffany.
Her role in the Valentine’s campaign earlier this year solidified her relationship with the brand. In that campaign, she wore a HardWear by Tiffany graduated necklace paired with matching earrings, a bracelet, and a watch, along with a Tiffany Setting engagement ring, making her a natural choice for a night dedicated to celebrating the house’s archive.
Notably, the evening focused on Schlumberger’s archive rather than a new product launch, signaling a shift towards storytelling over traditional promotion. This approach demonstrates Tiffany’s commitment to its design heritage. Events like this provide the brand with a platform to gather high-profile actors while emphasizing craftsmanship.
For fans of red-carpet fashion, the images from the event are a delight. Arjona’s playful pose in one shot and her more serious profile in another showcase a relaxed and fun side, while the elegant black dress allows the gold jewelry to take center stage.
