‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Promo Features Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell and Simu Liu
The anticipation for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ continues to build with a steady stream of cast promos, each one prompting fans to search for hidden clues. Marvel’s strategy of releasing short, enigmatic clips instead of lengthy reveals keeps the buzz alive week after week.
The numbers indicate this approach is effective. Four brief teasers released between December 23 and January 13 reportedly garnered 1.02 billion views in just three days, while the full trailer that dropped on July 20 achieved 503 million views within 24 hours, marking it as Disney’s most-viewed trailer. Additionally, The Wrap reported that the film has already surpassed $50 million in presales.
A new cast promo has recently surfaced. On October 3, Avengers Updates shared that the latest promo features Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell, Simu Liu, and Danny Ramirez. This 26-second vertical clip, posted by an account named “em | doomsday era,” shows Liu, identified as Shang-Chi, speaking directly to the camera while acknowledging the truth behind the rumors.

The specific rumors Liu refers to remain unclear, and Marvel has yet to confirm the clip’s contents. The on-screen text appears in Spanish alongside the English subtitle, hinting at a localized version. This setting also mirrors an 8-second clip shared by Marvel Studios Philippines on September 24, which showcased cast members in front of a stained-glass window and announced a December 16 cinema release.
The cast featured in this new promo is significant. Evans reprises his role as Steve Rogers, Mackie portrays Captain America, Sam Wilson, Liu is Shang-Chi, and Atwell is credited as Peggy Carter on Disney’s cast page. Ramirez plays Joaquin Torres, the U.S. Air Force lieutenant who assumes the Falcon identity after Sam becomes Captain America.
Evans’ appearance is particularly noteworthy since he was absent from Marvel’s 31-second “Silence Your Phones” spot, which began airing before ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Encore screenings and was posted online on September 28. That spot featured cast members like Chris Hemsworth, Liu, Florence Pugh, James Marsden, and Pedro Pascal in costume within a crowded theater. However, Evans did make an appearance in the first teaser released on December 23, which depicted Captain America returning with a child, and the full trailer showcased Rogers wielding Mjolnir.
Atwell’s presence is sure to fuel speculation. Heroic Hollywood reported in December 2025, citing a source, that she would portray multiple variants of Peggy Carter, although no official confirmation has been provided, nor has there been a statement from the actress herself. Another rumor from scooper James Mack suggests a Latverian Witch will disguise herself as Peggy Carter, but this claim remains unverified.
The Russo brothers have added to the intrigue. According to WDW News Today, Anthony Russo mentioned at an event surrounding ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Encore that the full cast has yet to be announced. The re-release, which occurred on September 25, also included new footage of Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner encountering Doctor Doom.
The storyline is shaping up to be monumental. Disney describes the film as the concluding chapter of the Multiverse Saga, featuring heroes from three universes confronting an existential threat, with production details placing it 14 months after ‘Thunderbolts’. Robert Downey Jr. will star as Doctor Doom, with Anthony and Joe Russo directing.

The release schedule is also quite busy. The film is set to premiere on December 18 in the United States and December 16 in the Philippines, coinciding with the release of ‘Dune: Part Three’, a coordinated “Dunesday” campaign that has received endorsements from Robert Downey Jr. and Timothée Chalamet. In Mexico, a second presale began on October 2 for various formats, including VIP, Platinum, ScreenX, and 4DX, while IMAX availability is expected to be limited due to the ‘Dune’ release.
Marketing efforts have also localized. A Comic Con Málaga poster featuring Doctor Doom alongside three masked Latverian Witches began circulating on October 1, and the promotional booth there showcases a large Avengers logo on stone with glowing green panels. The new clip adds another layer to a campaign that continually finds innovative ways to tease the cast. Whether Liu’s line hints at a casting reveal, a plot twist, or simply playful marketing, fans now have another snippet to analyze.
