Daisy Edgar-Jones Dazzles in Navy for ‘Sense and Sensibility’ Press
Press-tour fashion has evolved into a unique form of storytelling, and Daisy Edgar-Jones is one of the stars executing it with remarkable creativity. Collaborating with stylist Dani Michelle, she has skillfully navigated the aesthetics of Jane Austen’s world without being overly literal. The outcome is a wardrobe that feels youthful and romantic, steering clear of dowdy vibes.
The tour has certainly kept fans on their toes. Starting at the London premiere, she wowed in a silver Vivienne Westwood dress, followed by an Alexander McQueen military jacket just a day later. Her looks included a sheer black lace ShuShu/Tong dress layered over hot-pink undergarments at a London screening, and a lilac Chloé gown featuring voluminous sleeves, ruching, and ribbons.
The latest highlight from the tour is a stunning navy blue dress with a square neckline, gathered at the bust, and dramatic puffed sleeves that taper to fitted cuffs. Her auburn hair is styled straight with long bangs, completing the elegant look.

While the post does not disclose the designer or the location of the photos, this look stands out as one of the most understated of the tour. The deep navy and structured sleeves pay homage to the period setting without veering into costume territory, while the gathered neckline adds a touch of softness.
This look contrasts sharply with her Sydney appearance. On October 1, she attended the Australian premiere in a custom Miu Miu corset dress that featured a daring twist. The sleeveless design was adorned with ribbons tied at the shoulders, a sheer peekaboo bra layer, and a silver sequin-encrusted corset left slightly undone, embellished with hundreds of sequins.
Nylon recognized that Miu Miu ensemble as one of the top five press-tour looks for 2026, highlighting how she pushes fashion towards a youthful direction. Throughout the tour, she has also accessorized with Boucheron jewels. The navy dress, in contrast, feels like a quieter chapter in her evolving style narrative.
There’s a reason corsetry keeps making appearances. Edgar-Jones shared last month that being sewn into the corsets, petticoats, and dresses of the film allowed her to better understand her character, Elinor Dashwood. Her off-screen fashion choices, therefore, contribute to the dialogue surrounding her role.

In the film, Elinor and her sisters must leave their family home and relocate with their widowed mother to a cottage in Devon. Directed by Georgia Oakley and scripted by Diana Reid, the film stars Esmé Creed-Miles as Marianne and George MacKay as Edward Ferrars. It premiered in UK theaters on September 25, with the US release set for October 16.

Critics have reacted positively so far. Deadline described Oakley’s adaptation as a rebellious interpretation of Austen’s social satire, while Film Focus Online praised it as a charming and beautifully crafted version, although it acknowledged that the 1995 film might still hold an edge in terms of cast and emotional depth.
With the US release just two weeks away, there’s still time for more press appearances. If the navy dress is any indication, Edgar-Jones is unlikely to repeat her previous looks.
