New ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Promo Art Highlights Sue Storm, Black Panther, Mystique, and Yelena Belova
Marvel’s marketing efforts are in full swing. The recent Disney re-release of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ has propelled the 2019 blockbuster back to the top of the all-time box office rankings, generating excitement among theater owners for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Fans are eagerly dissecting every new piece of promotional art.
Marvel has been unveiling ‘Doomsday‘ imagery in waves for several months. Previous releases prominently featured Doctor Doom alongside Thor, Captain America, and Mister Fantastic. Other batches teased surprising pairings, such as Ant-Man with Invisible Woman, Shang-Chi with Cyclops, and Gambit with Yelena Belova.
The latest reveal shifts the spotlight to four of the film’s heroes. MCU Film News shared a new promo for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ showcasing Sue Storm, Black Panther, Mystique, and Yelena Belova, crediting the image to @kepleravocado. Additional promo art and posters were released the same day, featuring the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Avengers.
The image itself is a classic ensemble piece set against a black background. Sue Storm is positioned at the top in her blue Fantastic Four suit, one hand raised as she projects a force field. Black Panther is crouched on the left in a dark suit, while Mystique stands to the right in a white outfit, showcasing her signature red hair and blue skin. Yelena Belova is in the foreground, dressed in green tactical gear, holding a staff in each hand, with the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ logo beneath them.

These characters align with the film’s announced cast. Vanessa Kirby portrays Sue Storm, also known as Invisible Woman, while Letitia Wright takes on the role of Shuri, who has inherited the Black Panther mantle. Rebecca Romijn plays Raven Darkhölme, better known as Mystique, and Florence Pugh returns as Yelena Belova.
Each character brings a unique history. Kirby was last seen as Sue Storm in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ in 2025. Wright’s last appearance as Black Panther was in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ in 2022. Pugh was recently featured in ‘Thunderbolts’ in 2025, and Romijn last portrayed Mystique in ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ in 2006.
Mystique’s inclusion is particularly intriguing. Earlier leaked promo art hinted that Romijn would transition from her classic look to a white outfit more reminiscent of the comics, and this new image seems to confirm that. Mystique even received her own spotlight in the film’s Cheetos tie-in, where she is featured as the cheese-with-ketchup flavor.
Yelena continues to appear prominently. One outlet noted that her consistent presence across nearly every wave of promotional art suggests her role is significant, positioning Pugh’s character as a central figure in the story. This aligns with the film’s broader narrative, which unites the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and Doctor Doom.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026. Filming took place from April to September 2025, and the cast now boasts 35 names. Following this, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ is scheduled for release on December 17, 2027.
Comic Book Movie highlighted that the focus of the new art remains on the heroes revealed during last March’s chair reveal, without featuring surprise additions like Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers or rumored fan favorites. Marvel is clearly keeping its biggest secrets under wraps, likely saving the reveal of surprise characters until after the movie’s release.
For now, this latest promo serves as a reminder of the film’s extensive roster.
