Sydney Sweeney’s New Venice Snapshot Highlights Her Armani Beauty Experience
Sydney Sweeney’s trip to Venice continues to captivate fashion enthusiasts. Although the 83rd Venice International Film Festival concluded on September 12, her time in Italy remains a hot topic across social media.
After a significant career year and the conclusion of HBO’s ‘Euphoria,’ Sweeney took a break from the red carpet in early 2026. Her return to the spotlight in Venice showcased a wardrobe primarily composed of archival designer pieces, which became a focal point of her trip.
Now, there’s a fresh image to add to the collection. On October 4, the fan account Sweeney Daily shared a new photo of the actress from her Venice visit. The snapshot captures her beaming at the camera during a night out, dressed in a shimmering silver-grey sequined dress with delicate straps, one adorned with a dark floral accent.
Her blonde locks flowed in long, loose waves, complemented by soft, radiant makeup. The softly lit background and her relaxed pose lend a candid, off-duty vibe, contrasting with her polished red carpet appearances.

Sweeney wasn’t in Venice to promote a film; she attended as a global ambassador for Armani Beauty, the festival’s official beauty sponsor. The brand exclusively told Forbes that she, along with Kendall Jenner and Jonathan Bailey, would serve as ambassadors during the festival.
This group represented the brand’s largest lineup to date, which also included model Vittoria Ceretti, actors Nicholas Galitzine and Luca Argentero, singer J Balvin, and Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz. The blend of film, fashion, music, and sports contributed to the festival’s vibrant atmosphere.

Sweeney arrived in Venice on September 2, showcasing an archive look from Georges Chakra’s Spring 2003 collection, featuring a sheer lace top paired with matching shorts. She completed the outfit with pink Gianvito Rossi mules, perfectly embodying 2026’s clear-heel trend.

At the Armani Beauty dinner on September 3, she dazzled in a vintage Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 2000 gown made from transparent black fabric embellished with silver sequins and tiny beads. This look came just a year after she made headlines in a sheer chainmail dress at Variety’s Power of Women event in October 2025, and fans certainly noticed the resemblance.
She was also seen enjoying a night out in another vintage piece from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 1987 collection. On September 4, she was photographed in a lacy white outfit featuring textured cut-outs that perfectly matched the “European summer” vibe.
Archival dressing was a prominent theme throughout the festival. Jenner wore a vintage 1995 gown, while Nina Dobrev opted for a vintage Armani design for her appearance.

She also took in the sights alongside her boyfriend, Scooter Braun, who joined her at various moments during the trip. The couple was photographed sharing a kiss on a gondola ride through the canals, having first sparked romance rumors in June 2025 at the Bezos-Sánchez wedding in Venice.

It’s a delightful coincidence that Venice has become a recurring backdrop for her fashion moments. The wedding trip yielded a series of unforgettable looks, and this year’s festival added several more to her style repertoire.
While Venice was a celebration of beauty and fashion, Sweeney has significant film projects on the horizon. In January 2026, it was announced that she would star in and produce ‘The Custom of the Country,’ an adaptation of Edith Wharton’s work financed by StudioCanal, with Josie Rourke at the helm.
Leo Woodall later joined the cast, alongside Josh Finan, Louis Garrel, Matthew Goode, Rose Leslie, Martha Plimpton, and Irene Jacob. This project is shaping up to be one of her most ambitious roles to date.
For now, fans are more than happy to relive her Venice moments, one stunning photo at a time. If this sparkling snapshot is any indication, there may still be more unseen images from her trip waiting to be revealed.
