‘Snow White’ Star Rachel Zegler Dazzles in Edgy Leather Ahead of Broadway ‘Evita’ Return
Rachel Zegler is currently experiencing one of the most hectic periods of her career. She recently won an Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Eva Perón in Jamie Lloyd’s ‘Evita,’ and she is now gearing up to bring that production to Broadway.
Amidst rehearsals, press events, and various film projects, Zegler has also been making waves in the fashion world. From her Met Gala look inspired by Paul Delaroche’s painting ‘The Execution of Lady Jane Grey’ to her numerous appearances in New York this year, she has become a prominent figure in fashion discussions.
Her latest appearance is more relaxed yet still eye-catching. New photos of Zegler shared on October 5 showcase the actress in an edgy, evening-ready outfit that has garnered praise from fans for its effortless appeal.

Zegler sported an oversized black leather jacket over a shimmering, cropped beige top that beautifully reflected the light. She completed the look with a grey belted midi pencil skirt, strappy metallic heels, and a small structured silver handbag. Her dark hair cascaded down in loose waves.
The leather jacket has become a signature piece for the actress, who frequently incorporates it into her street style. This time, the sparkling top and tailored skirt elevated the ensemble, balancing the rugged texture of the jacket with softer, more refined elements.
Rachel Zegler says performing the balcony scene in “Evita” was one of the “most nerve-wracking” moments of the show: “It was such a moment of accessibility in theater.”

These photos coincided with Zegler’s appearance at Variety’s Business of Broadway event in New York, where she was joined by her ‘Evita’ co-stars Diego Rodriguez and James Olivas. During the event, she reflected on her journey to landing the role.
Recalling her audition, Zegler shared with Variety that she called her agent from a basement on Broadway, urging him to do whatever it took to get her an audition. She mentioned singing about 40 pages of material and performing on a two-show day, highlighting that even after her breakout role in ‘West Side Story,’ she continues to audition for new opportunities.

The Broadway transfer is just a few months away, with Jamie Lloyd’s production set to begin previews at the Winter Garden Theatre on February 27, followed by an official opening night on March 25. The production initially gained attention at the London Palladium, where Zegler performed ‘Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina’ from a balcony, while audiences inside watched on screens. Since there is no balcony at the Winter Garden, Lloyd is reimagining that iconic moment for Times Square.
Before this, Zegler will return to London for a concert residency at Soho Place, featuring 14 shows from January 5 to January 17. On the film front, she stars in the psychological thriller ‘NDA’ alongside Penn Badgley and Amy Ryan, which Bleecker Street acquired in July. She is also set to appear in ‘Last Dance’ opposite Adrien Brody, directed by Karim Aïnouz, and has joined Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical film ‘Octet.’
These projects mark her return to the big screen following Disney’s 2025 live-action ‘Snow White,’ a film that sparked a series of controversies. Zegler appears focused on her next chapter, and if this week’s photos are any indication, she is stepping into it with undeniable style.
