Sylvester Stallone Attends PaleyFest with Family as ‘Tulsa King’ Season 4 Premiere Approaches
Hollywood’s biggest action stars rarely do things halfway, and Sylvester Stallone’s transition into television has become a true family affair. The legendary actor has turned ‘Tulsa King‘ into a showcase for his crew, both in front of and behind the camera. This weekend, that family spirit was on full display at a New York red carpet event.
‘Tulsa King’ marks Stallone’s first leading role in a scripted television series, following mob capo Dwight Manfredi as he rebuilds his life in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after years in prison. Created by Taylor Sheridan, this Paramount+ drama has become a cornerstone for the streaming service. The highly anticipated fourth season is set to premiere on Friday, October 16.
Ahead of the season premiere, Stallone attended PaleyFest New York on Saturday, October 10, accompanied by his wife, Jennifer Flavin, and their youngest daughter, Scarlet. The family participated in the ‘Tulsa King’ screening and panel at The Paley Museum, one of the festival’s main events. The evening featured an advance screening of the season four premiere and a discussion with the cast.

Stallone opted for a blue plaid double-breasted blazer paired with a crisp white shirt and matching pocket square, showcasing a sharp, classic style for the occasion. Scarlet, 24, turned heads in a champagne-gold satin midi slip dress with thin straps and black open-toe heels. Her long blonde hair flowed in soft waves, complemented by a delicate necklace and understated makeup.
Flavin, 58, chose an elegant black-and-white ensemble that harmonized with the family’s color scheme. The trio posed together on the carpet, with Scarlet and her father sharing a tender moment in one of the photos, creating a polished family portrait that matched the festival’s glamorous atmosphere.

The Stallones have been involved with the show since its inception. Scarlet joined ‘Tulsa King’ in season one as Spencer, initially appearing as a barista and later as a horse groom, and she has continued to return. In season four, she shares the screen with Garrett Hedlund, whose character Mitch interacts with hers.

Flavin is also credited as a co-executive producer on the series. Stallone has expressed how much he relies on his daughters for guidance, noting that Scarlet once provided him with insights about the show. He has mentioned that all his daughters grew up in a cinematic environment and possess more media knowledge than he does.
At the PaleyFest panel, Scarlet reportedly shared that working alongside her father has strengthened their bond, allowing them to become friends as well as family. She has also been promoted to a series regular for season five. This news follows the series’ renewal before season four even premiered, with production for the next season commencing in New York on October 5.
This timeline makes the festival appearance a significant milestone for the entire family. Sharing a set is one thing, but being celebrated together in front of fans is another. For Scarlet, the promotion signifies a major step in her acting career, which began on her father’s show.

The panel was also part of a larger celebration. PaleyFest honored ‘Tulsa King’ with its inaugural PaleyFest Award, established to commemorate The Paley Center’s 50th anniversary. This recognition places the series alongside ‘American Horror Story,’ ‘Dexter: Resurrection,’ ‘Marshals,’ ‘The Gilded Age,’ and ‘The Diplomat.’
This is a significant acknowledgment for a show that has steadily gained popularity since its debut in 2022. For Stallone, it’s further proof that his late-career shift into television has been worthwhile. Critics have generally praised his performance, despite some critiques of the dialogue and story arcs.

The new season promises to deliver higher stakes. Stallone has hinted at a dangerous, psychopathic new adversary for Dwight, while corrupt politicians and a devastating personal blow challenge his empire. Returning cast members include Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Frank Grillo, Neal McDonough, and Kevin Pollak.
Gretchen Mol joins the cast as Amanda Clark, a local Tulsa politician, and will appear as a series regular. With the season premiere on October 16, fans won’t have to wait long to see how Dwight copes with these challenges. If the Stallones’ appearance at PaleyFest is any indication, they are ready for the spotlight.
