‘Dragon Ball Super: Beerus’ Episode 2 Release Date, Time and Where to Watch Online
The global anime scene has seen a significant revival with the return of Akira Toriyama’s iconic martial arts franchise. After wrapping up its original 131-episode run in 2018, Toei Animation has decided to revisit the start of ‘Dragon Ball Super’ using a modernized digital approach and a more focused creative vision. This revamped version aims to pay tribute to the creator’s lasting legacy while setting a new benchmark for contemporary shonen battles.
The launch of this reimagined project has created a buzz throughout the anime industry, generating substantial online traffic during its debut weekend. Following an opening episode that reestablished Earth’s fragile peace post-Majin Buu, excitement for the next chapter has reached an all-time high. Fans worldwide are eager to see how the remastered storyline merges nostalgic elements with fresh cinematic flair.
Viewers won’t have to wait long to witness the escalating cosmic conflict. The second episode, titled “The God of Destruction Heads to the Planet of the Kai,” is set to premiere on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

In Japan, the episode will air on Fuji TV at 11:15 p.m. JST, filling the late-night slot while ‘One Piece’ is on hiatus. For fans in the Americas, the episode will stream simultaneously at 9:30 a.m. PT and 12:30 p.m. ET.
Viewers in the United Kingdom can catch it at 5:30 p.m. BST on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, audiences across mainland Europe can expect the simulcast at 6:30 p.m. CEST. In India, fans can stream the legal subtitled version at 10:00 p.m. IST.
Crunchyroll is the primary international streaming platform for the enhanced series across North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and parts of Asia. In the United States, subscribers can also access the weekly simulcast on Hulu. Both platforms will provide high-definition subtitled video shortly after the television broadcast concludes in Japan.
As Anime News Network confirmed during the licensing rollout, Crunchyroll has secured worldwide simulcast rights across multiple regions to headline its Fall 2026 schedule. In Japan, domestic streaming will begin on Amazon Prime Video and U-NEXT approximately 30 minutes after the television broadcast ends.
Subscribers using Netflix will face a slightly staggered release schedule. While select overseas territories will receive episodes on Wednesdays starting October 14, Netflix in the United States will not premiere the series until Saturday, October 17. Consequently, American Netflix subscribers will have to wait until Saturday, October 24, to stream Episode 2.
The upcoming chapter will shift the focus from Earth to the broader cosmos of Universe 7. After piecing together prophetic dreams about a legendary Super Saiyan God, Lord Beerus journeys across space with Whis to visit the Other World. Their arrival poses a threat to the fragile galactic equilibrium that has persisted for decades.
Preview teasers show a frantic King Kai desperately trying to hide Son Goku from the volatile destroyer. King Kai understands that any hint of disrespect could lead to swift annihilation of his small celestial realm.
Goku, fueled by his unyielding passion for martial arts, disregards the danger and prepares to confront the feline deity. This encounter sets the stage for Goku to test his Super Saiyan 3 form against the overwhelming power of a god.
Produced to celebrate Toei Animation’s 70th anniversary, ‘Dragon Ball Super: Beerus’ is a 19-episode reconstruction that covers the anime’s first three major arcs. Director Matsuto Seya and animation supervisor Tadayoshi Yamamuro have delivered redrawn sequences and enhanced compositing that closely align with Akira Toriyama’s manga concepts.
The production team expressed enthusiasm over Beerus taking the spotlight, with English voice actor Jason Douglas stating, “It’s an amazing thrill to see Beerus take center stage in ‘Dragon Ball Super: Beerus,’” in comments on the Dragon Ball official portal. Executive producer Akio Iyoku added that “[Beerus] is indeed an unpredictable and awe-inspiringly powerful god” who naturally propels the overarching storyline forward.
The refreshed presentation is complemented by Norihito Sumitomo’s rearranged musical score and the opening theme “ONOGAMI” by MEGATERA・ZERO. By streamlining the ‘God of Destruction Beerus’, ‘Golden Frieza’, and ‘Universe 6’ storylines, Toei Animation has removed unnecessary filler. This project creates a direct, polished bridge leading toward the upcoming anime ‘Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol’.
Will you be tuning in to watch Goku challenge Beerus this Sunday, or are you waiting for the English dub release?
