The holiday season is fast approaching, and Anya Taylor-Joy’s Dior holiday campaign is among the first major festive announcements of the year. Fashion houses often reserve their most imaginative concepts for this time, and this campaign fully embraces a whimsical, storybook aesthetic.

Taylor-Joy has been a part of the Dior family since October 2021, when she was named a global brand ambassador following her breakout role in ‘The Queen’s Gambit.’ Her performance earned her prestigious accolades, including a Golden Globe, a Critics’ Choice Award, and a SAG Award. Since then, she has graced numerous campaigns, donned custom outfits on red carpets, and attended the house’s shows, such as the Spring-Summer 2026 presentation, where she made an entrance in a cape designed for Jonathan Anderson’s Dior.

Her collaboration with the brand’s beauty division has been equally consistent. She featured in the Dior Addict campaign alongside Jisoo and Willow Smith, directed by TORSO and photographed by Drew Vickers, promoting the Peachy Glow fragrance. This previous campaign embraced a candy-pink, patisserie-inspired theme, while the new holiday visuals shift from pink confections to golden gingerbread.

Titled ‘The Sweet Atelier of Dreams,’ the latest campaign showcases House ambassadors Anya Taylor-Joy and Deva Cassel. The new images depict Taylor-Joy in a strapless white dress, her long platinum hair cascading down as she leans against stacks of gingerbread gift boxes adorned with the Dior logo. In one playful shot, she raises a finger to her lips in a “shh” gesture, as if keeping a holiday secret.

Dior has transformed its iconic Paris location, 30 Montaigne, into an elaborate gingerbread house for the campaign shoot. This initiative combines music, dance, and confectionery-inspired fantasy, utilizing the historic architecture to enhance the storytelling. The warm golden-brown palette, intricate cookie-style wall panels, and frosting-like details create a set that feels like a life-sized holiday treat.

This creative approach cleverly utilizes the house’s heritage. Instead of constructing a fictional set, Dior reimagines its actual home as a festive wonderland, linking the nostalgia of the season with the brand’s Parisian roots. This strategy imparts a storybook charm that perfectly complements the ambassadors.

As reported during the launch, Taylor-Joy’s makeup look is named Cinnamon Glaze, inspired by the seasonal treat. It features bronzed eyes and a brown-mauve lip that accentuates her cheekbones. Cassel, also in a white strapless gown paired with contrasting black heels, shares gifts with Taylor-Joy in front of a twinkling gingerbread Christmas tree.

The campaign highlights some of Dior’s most iconic beauty products, including the Miss Dior, J’adore, and Sauvage fragrances, along with Prestige skincare and a selection of shimmering makeup. Fairy-light snowflakes and holiday gift boxes are woven throughout the imagery. For Dior, this presents an opportunity to showcase its gift-ready products in a dreamy environment.

This isn’t Taylor-Joy’s first foray into holiday campaigns. She previously starred in Tiffany & Co.’s ‘With Love, Since 1837’ holiday campaign in 2024, exploring New York City in a chic little black dress and the brand’s signature jewelry. She returned as the face of Tiffany’s ‘Love Is a Gift’ campaign in 2025, focusing on the exchange of Blue Boxes.

Her holiday endeavors align seamlessly with her on-screen career, which includes roles in ‘The Witch,’ ‘The Menu,’ and ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.’ Dior’s decision to feature her in the Atelier of Dreams underscores how the house views her as a key figure in its seasonal storytelling. The gingerbread theme also resonates with her talent for embracing fantasy, a quality she has consistently displayed in her film roles.

While many holiday campaigns rely on glitter and snow, this one adheres to a singular, cohesive concept. The gingerbread theme transforms an entire Parisian landmark into a confectionery delight, providing the images with a unified aesthetic. This also gives Dior a compelling angle for social media, as fans can easily recognize the golden boxes and intricate frosting details.

Fans of Taylor-Joy will likely appreciate seeing her in a more cheerful and playful light compared to some of her darker roles. With the festive season just beginning, this campaign may be the first of many holiday unveilings. For now, Dior has certainly secured the sweetest head start.
