When Brett Goldstein co-wrote a Netflix romantic comedy, he had one actress in mind for the female lead. He crafted ‘Office Romance’ alongside Joe Kelly, a fellow writer from the ‘Ted Lasso’ team, envisioning Jennifer Lopez in the role. Few writers get to see their dream casting come to life, and even fewer enjoy a promotional tour filled with excitement.

In the film, Lopez portrays the CEO of an airline who unexpectedly falls for a lawyer at her firm, played by Goldstein. Directed by Ol Parker, the movie premiered on Netflix on June 5. Their undeniable chemistry was evident on the red carpet, where Goldstein was seen with his arm around Lopez’s waist during the New York premiere, sharing smiles and laughter for the cameras.

Recently, speculation has intensified. A report from October 19 suggests that Lopez and Goldstein are casually dating, with a source indicating that they are seeing each other but keeping things light.

This latest buzz stems from a talent manager’s party in Los Angeles on October 16. Lopez arrived with her longtime manager, Benny Medina, while Goldstein entered alone. They made a point to arrive separately but left together, reportedly sharing the same car.

According to the insider, the two enjoy going out to parties and dining together. The source even took a jab at Lopez’s ex, Ben Affleck, noting that he often appeared scowling when they were out.

This detail is significant because the pair had previously denied any romantic involvement. During an appearance on TODAY on June 2, Savannah Guthrie directly asked if they were dating, to which Lopez replied, “Not dating,” and Goldstein confirmed, “Correct.”

Lopez explained that she often finds herself linked to her co-stars, which doesn’t necessarily reflect the truth. Goldstein humorously added that merely being near her sparks speculation. Their representatives have not responded to requests for comments regarding the new dating report.

Lopez didn’t help dispel the rumors either. On ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ she told Andy Cohen that Goldstein was the best kisser she had ever worked with on screen. That’s quite a statement for someone claiming she isn’t dating her co-star.

Earlier reports suggested that the two maintained a professional relationship while filming, although their chemistry was palpable. Goldstein recounted their first Zoom meeting, where they instantly clicked and shared laughter.

Currently, neither star has publicly confirmed their relationship. The source describing their connection as casual suggests there’s no urgency to label it, which aligns with Lopez’s journey since filing for divorce from Affleck in August 2024.

Goldstein, on his part, has kept his romantic life under wraps. The two are 57 and 46 respectively, an age difference that has sparked online discussions, though fans are primarily interested in whether their romance will flourish off screen.

With a premiere filled with smiles, a denial, a party exit, and a memorable kiss review, the narrative is far from concluded.
