Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has hinted that we’ll learn the release date for Borderlands 4 soon. He mentioned, ‘You will have a date soon, and then all will become clear.’

The game is set on a new planet called Kairos, described as the series’ most dangerous yet most open and free. Players will have four new Vault Hunters to choose from, each with unique abilities. Local split-screen co-op is available, and there are ‘billions’ of weapons and accessories to collect.

While not labeled as an open world, Gearbox has included seamless travel to enhance exploration. The game is planned for release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.

In addition to Borderlands 4, Hangar 13’s Mafia: The Old Country is also scheduled for release this year, aiming for a summer launch.
