Captain America: Brave New World marks a major milestone for the MCU, as Anthony Mackie steps into the role of Captain America. The journey to this film hasn’t been smooth, with plenty of hurdles along the way.

Director Julius Onah shared that he’s still processing the magnitude of it all, particularly the experience of being at big events like D23 and Trafalgar Square with names like Harrison Ford and Kevin Feige by his side.

Despite the chaos, Onah remains grateful, though he admits he won’t fully grasp the impact of the film until he’s back in his quieter life in Berlin.

The movie has been closely watched since its announcement, with leaks and reshoots keeping fans and insiders on edge. Onah opened up about the post-credit scene, confirming it was always planned and not a last-minute addition.

It wasn’t filmed until after the main production wrapped, during a period when the strikes had paused writing. This allowed the team to work with a clearer direction for the future of the MCU.

As for the characters, Onah revealed that there were once plans for more in the script, specifically an Illuminati, confirming the meaning of the post-credits scene. When asked which characters would have appeared, he kept it a secret, only teasing that certain things were left vague for a reason in the post-credit scene. Looks like some mysteries are staying hidden for now.
