Anya Taylor-Joy Dazzles in Gothic Lace at Dior’s Paris Show After Tiffany’s Dinner
Dior has become a focal point of Paris Fashion Week since Jonathan Anderson took the helm. As the first designer to oversee both the men’s and women’s lines, each show has transformed into a must-see fashion event.
Tuesday’s showcase featured Anderson’s Spring/Summer 2027 women’s collection. Invites included two wénwán walnuts, a nod to the Chinese tradition of rolling walnuts until their shells shine amber, reminiscent of the walnuts on the ceramic plates from his debut womenswear invitations.
One highly anticipated guest was Anya Taylor-Joy. Her Dior ensemble for the show was a stunning sheer black lace piece with oversized, floor-length sleeves, paired with a sleek black pencil skirt and a neck scarf. She completed the look with black court shoes and styled her icy blonde hair in soft waves cascading over one shoulder.

The layered effect of her outfit was striking. A sheer lace cape draped over a black top, featuring a dark ruffled neckline and a high black neck scarf that framed her face. The knee-length black skirt and pointed heels contributed to a sleek silhouette.
The look embraced a moody, gothic-romantic palette, complementing her pale hair. The lace added texture while the black kept it sharp, achieving a vintage feel without appearing costume-like.

Taylor-Joy’s connection to Dior is significant. She became a brand ambassador in October 2021 and has adapted her style to fit various eras of the fashion house. Notably, she wore a custom Dior gown for her wedding in 2023, an ivory princess dress adorned with birds and flowers.
Under Anderson’s direction, their collaboration has flourished. At the Toronto International Film Festival last September, she showcased a woven princess-blue gown that later graced his spring 2026 runway. Vogue Philippines hailed that baby-blue crinoline gown as a perfect representation of his new vision.

She has been a constant presence at key moments during Anderson’s tenure. Taylor-Joy sat front row at his womenswear debut on October 1, 2025, and attended his first couture show alongside stars like Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence. In March, she arrived at his fall show in a peach slip dress, holding a single rose.
Each appearance has showcased a different facet of her style, from equestrian capes to romantic silk. This week’s lace ensemble marks a darker shift, highlighting her ability to navigate between soft and dramatic aesthetics based on the collection.

Tuesday’s show followed her attendance at the Tiffany & M.A.D. dinner in Paris just a day earlier. As a longtime Tiffany ambassador, the dinner celebrated the brand’s partnership with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs to preserve Jean Schlumberger’s archive, with guests including Amanda Seyfried, Adria Arjona, Greta Lee, and Diane Kruger.
Transitioning from a jewelry dinner to a couture runway in just 24 hours illustrates the hectic pace of fashion week and the high value brands place on her presence. In a single week, she has emerged as one of the season’s most photographed attendees.
Anya wasn’t the only star in attendance. HeadTopics reported that Jennifer Lawrence arrived in a pale blue silk maxi dress with lace details, while model Miranda Kerr wore a strappy blue dress with a v-neckline. The publication inaccurately described the show as Anderson’s debut women’s collection, which actually took place last October.
Anderson’s journey at Dior has progressed rapidly since then. His first women’s show was for spring 2026, followed by a couture debut in January and a fall 2026 collection held in the Jardin des Tuileries in March. The new spring 2027 presentation is the latest chapter in his evolving narrative.
Outside of the runway, Taylor-Joy has a busy schedule ahead. She is set to portray Alia Atreides in ‘Dune: Part Three’, hitting theaters on December 18. Her fashion moments are likely to continue to flourish as award season approaches.
For now, her lace look serves as the latest testament to her understanding of a designer’s vision. It’s dramatic yet understated, perfectly aligning with Anderson’s romantic and slightly eccentric aesthetic. This may explain why she remains one of Dior’s most dependable front-row attendees.
