‘Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle’ Anime Reveals Additional Production Details and Visuals

The anime adaptation of Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka has announced its main cast, staff, and character visuals. The series is based on the light novel by Hiromu and raemz.
Shōgo Sakata will play the lead role, Saku Chitose. Other cast members include Manaka Iwami as Yuko Hiiragi, Hina Yomiya as Yua Uchida, Ikumi Hasegawa as Yuzuki Nanase, Rumi Okubo as Haru Aomi, and Chika Anzai as Asuka Nishino. The characters’ visuals were also revealed, with artwork provided by REMOW.
The anime is being directed by Yûji Tokuno, who has worked on Kiratto Pri☆Chan and Pretty Boy Detective Club. Naruhisa Arakawa is supervising the script and co-writing with the original author, Hiromu. Sumie Kinoshita, known for her work on Forest of Piano and Idoly Pride, is designing the characters.
The story follows Saku Chitose, a high-achieving student at Fujishi High School in Fukui Prefecture. He excels in academics, sports, and social interactions, making him a target of admiration and envy. In his second year, he’s asked to help a shy classmate return to school. The series promises an emotional coming-of-age story.
Hiromu and raemz first published the light novel in June 2019. Yen Press is releasing both the light novels and the manga in North America. The manga adaptation, drawn by Bobcat, was launched in April 2020 on Square Enix’s Manga UP! platform. The manga ended in February 2025 with the release of its seventh compiled volume.
This announcement adds to the excitement around the series as fans are looking forward to its upcoming anime debut.
