Over the years, Disney has created hundreds of loveable and not-so-loveable characters, some with names as memorable as the character themselves. From main character to supporting character, and hero to villain, here is a list of 47 iconic Disney characters whose names start with D.
1. Donald Duck (The Walt Disney Company)
Donald Duck is one of the original Walt Disney Company cartoon characters and is a supporting character to Mckey Mouse. He is the third most famous cartoon character of all time. His debut film, The Wise Little Hen, was released in 1934.
2. Daisy Duck (The Walt Disney Company)
Daisy Duck is Donald Duck’s girlfriend and Minnie Mouse’s best friend. She first appeared as Daisy in 1940 in Mr. Duck Steps Out. She is very stylish and likes shopping, fashion, and parties. She doesn’t like Donald’s temper and often scolds him for it.
3. Drizella Tremaine (Cinderella)
Drizella Tremaine is Cinderella’s stepsister and an antagonist in Cinderella. She is the oldest daughter of Lady Tremaine and sister to Anastasia. She is greedy, lazy, and obnoxious and is depicted as ugly both on the inside and outside.
4. Dumbo (Dumbo)
Dumbo is an elephant and protagonist of the 1941 Disney animated feature Dumbo. He is known for his enormous ears that allow him to fly. His mother is Mrs. Jumbo. He likes to fly and spend time with his mom, and he doesn’t want to be alone or bullied.
5. Dachshie (Lady and the Tramp)
Dachsie is a dachshund with a German accent that Lady meets at The Pound. He likes to dig, howl a lot, and really hates The Pound and wants to escape.

Another supporting character in Raya, Dang Hai, is the former chief of Talon and son of the current chieftess. He gave into the power of The Druun and was turned to stone.

Doc Hudson is one of the notable characters in the Cars franchise. He is a 1951 Hudson Hornet, former racecar, and both the doctor and judge of Radiator Springs. He makes his debut in the first Cars film but is deceased by the time the events of Cars 2 occur. However, he is featured in flashbacks and on video in Cars 3.

Dodger is a “street-smart” Jack Russell Terrier in the 1988 animated feature. He is the leader of Fagin’s dog gang. Since the movie is a reimagining of the Dickens Tale Oliver Twist, Dodger is loosely based on the character The Artful Dodger.

Daniela is a sea monster and Luca’s mother in the Disney/Pixar animated film. She loves the ocean but is afraid of the surface. Her number one rule is for Luca to never go near the surface.
15. Danny (101 Dalmatians)
Danny is a Great Dane who lives in Hampstead and is a minor character in 101 Dalmatians. He is one of the leading communicators in the Twilight Bark and is the dog who tells Missus and Pongo that the pups are at Hell Hall.

Djali is Esmerelda’s goat in The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Hunchback of Notre Dame II. He has a tendency to be belligerent and sassy, but he is also helpful and very loyal to Esmerelda. Any enemy of Esmerelda is an enemy of Djali.
35. Django (Ratatouille)
Django is the leader of the rat colony and the father of Remy and Emile. He doesn’t understand Remy’s sense of smell and taste, but he would do anything to protect him when he is in danger. Django loves his sons, saving the other rats, and cooking. He doesn’t care for humans.

DOR-15, or Doris, is an antagonist in Meet the Robinsons. She was initially invented by Cornelius as a helping hat to help whoever was wearing it. Cornelius deactivated her when she started trying to control others. She reactivated herself and escaped and teamed up with Bowler Hat Guy to get revenge on the Robinsons.

Dorothea is a talented sax player and the leader of The Dorothea Williams Quartet. She loves jazz and mentoring others. She doesn’t like Joe at first, but she eventually helps him pursue his dream of playing with her before he passes.

Dot is princess of the ant colony, but her older sister is the heir to the throne. She also makes a cameo appearance in Toy Story 2! She is a member of the Blueberries. She likes Flik and flying, although she can’t fly at first because her wings are so tiny.

Duchess is a beautiful and elegant Turkish Angora cat owned by Madame Adelaide Bonfamille. She is the mother of Berlioz, Marie, and Toulouse. She is kind to everyone, loves milk, dancing, and her children. She does not like to be away from her children.
42. Ducky (Toy Story 4)
Ducky is one half of a duo of carnival toys, Ducky and Bunny, in Toy Story 4. In the film, the two toys are attached. Ducky and Bunny are prizes at a carnival and just want to be taken home by a kid who they can call their owner.
43. Dug (Up)
Dug is a happy and friendly golden retriever who originally belonged to Charles Muntz and then becomes attached to Carl Fredericksen in Up. Carl is hesitant at first, but he eventually gives in and becomes Dug’s new master. Charles created a unique collar for Dug that gave him the ability to talk by translating his thoughts into speech.
44. Duke Caboom (Toy Story 4)
Duke Caboom is a major character in Toy Story 4. Duke is a 1970s action figure who is based on a Canadian daredevil and stuntman. He can’t actually do any of the stunts that the real-life Caboom can do, but he is really good at striking cool stunt poses.

The Duke of Weselton is one of the antagonists in the animated movie Frozen. He attended Elsa’s coronation at Arendelle, intending to take advantage of the kingdom’s riches and secrets and use them for his benefit. However, he is terrified of magic, and when Elsa’s powers are revealed, he calls her a monster and sets out to get rid of her.
46. Deb (Finding Nemo)
In Finding Nemo, Deb is a blue and white humbug fish that the dentist receives in the mail and puts in his fish tank. She thinks that her reflection in the tank glass is her twin sister, Flo.
47. Demetrius (Hercules)
Demetrius sells pottery in a marketplace close to where Hercules grew up. Although Hercules was strong, he was also clumsy, and Demetrius was always afraid Hercules was going to break something of his. He likes money and selling things and doesn’t care much for Hercules.
