Hailey Bieber Poses Before Giant Poster of Her Kiss With Justin at WYouth Launch
Teen magazines have faced challenges in recent years, but WYouth is optimistic about capturing the attention of a new generation. The launch event in West Hollywood attracted significant interest, with Hailey Bieber co-hosting and drawing considerable attention.
WYouth, pronounced “double youth,” serves as the teenage counterpart to W Magazine. It publishes biannually in print and features a dedicated section on W’s website. The inaugural issue was released on September 15, showcasing fashion spreads, horoscopes, a quiz on toxic friendships, and interviews with Gen Z stars like Clairo.
Led by Ava Nirui, the former creative director of Heaven by Marc Jacobs, and W’s editor-in-chief Sara Moonves, the project also includes contributions from Sofia Coppola and her teenage daughter Cosima Croquet. Nirui mentioned that the concept originated from discussions with Coppola and Moonves about their favorite magazines from their youth, aiming to revive that nostalgic spirit through innovative pop culture and physical media.
The timing of the launch is noteworthy. Forbes highlighted that it occurred less than a year after Teen Vogue merged with Vogue in November 2025, while YPulse noted that Seventeen ceased its print issues in 2018, and Tiger Beat has also vanished. W cited a poll indicating that 71% of Gen Z believes print magazines offer a greater sense of authenticity compared to digital formats.

During the launch party, Hailey posed in front of a large poster featuring her kissing Justin Bieber, which was a blown-up version of the cover image. She wore a metallic sequin jacket-style top in silver, green, red, and gold, left open with nothing underneath, as reported by Reality Tea. She completed the look with low-rise jeans, wavy hair, and dewy makeup.
In another photo, she sported dark sunglasses and black heels while standing next to the poster, which displayed the couple’s names written in a casual style. Thought Catalog’s post featuring the photos garnered over 8,000 views within hours.

The combination of sequins and denim is one Hailey has embraced before. For her 29th birthday, InStyle noted she wore a vintage DKNY sequin top paired with jeans and strappy heels, a look reminiscent of a millennial going-out uniform.
The poster itself is the cover image, which Hailey and Justin captured using a film camera. It features a headline proclaiming their love as stronger than ever, along with a multi-page spread inside the issue. In the editor’s letter of the debut issue, W referred to the couple as “the perfect first cover stars,” highlighting the warmth of their relationship alongside Hailey’s Rhode empire and Justin’s contributions to music and fashion.

However, not everyone was pleased with the choice of cover. According to Yahoo, the intimate, self-shot images of the couple cuddling in bed received mixed reactions on social media. Some fans questioned whether it was appropriate for a youth magazine, while others speculated that the couple was attempting to quell ongoing divorce rumors.
This isn’t the first time the couple has made headlines for their public displays of affection. Billboard reported that they shared a passionate kiss at the Bird Streets Club during a listening party for Justin’s album ‘Swag’ in July 2025. The couple tied the knot in 2018.
With the launch party now behind them, WYouth faces the challenge of maintaining the interest of young readers beyond this initial buzz. The editor’s letter also mentions young muses like Romy Mars and creatives such as Petra Collins, Larry Clark, and Shoichi Aoki, along with a feature on pop singer Adéla.
Nirui has suggested that Gen Z’s digital fatigue may create an opportunity for tangible print media, as summarized by YPulse’s reporting on The New York Times. If the launch party photos are any indication, the Biebers’ cover has certainly attracted significant attention.
