Madonna Joins Adéla’s ‘Nicole Kidman’ TikTok Trend in a Stunning Gold Dress
Adéla’s “Nicole Kidman” has emerged as one of the hottest music-driven TikTok trends, with the sound reportedly generating around 3.4 million posts. The track, which captures the essence of feeling like a movie star, has transformed its namesake into an unexpected pop culture icon, and the roster of celebrities participating continues to expand.
The 22-year-old Slovak singer, who grew up in Bratislava, first gained international attention on ‘The Debut: Dream Academy’, the competition that formed the girl group Katseye. After signing with Capitol and Polydor in May, she released her ‘The Provocateur’ EP in August, followed by her debut album, ‘Prima’, in September.
The song was inspired by a glamorous evening. Adéla attended a Golden Globes event, dressed to the nines, and had just watched ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ for the first time. The chorus pays homage to Kidman’s iconic roles in ‘Moulin Rouge!’ and ‘Babygirl’, while the video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, recreates memorable moments from the actress’s career.
Nicole Kidman herself has embraced the trend. At the London premiere of ‘Practical Magic 2’ in August, she acknowledged a fan’s mention of Adéla and expressed her intention to see her perform in Nashville. Kidman later created her own TikTok account, using Adéla’s “Ain’t In LA” as the soundtrack.

Now, the Queen of Pop has joined the excitement. On Thursday, Madonna shared a new TikTok featuring the track, showcasing herself in a striking gold dress while seemingly preparing for a formal event, as reported by Billboard.
Rather than following the dance routine, as noted by Perez Hilton, she opted for a sultry gaze at the camera while the song played, captioning the clip with a phrase from the chorus. This perfectly aligns with the song’s theme of confidence and empowerment.
Fans quickly took notice. Pop Crave’s post of the video garnered over 238.4K views, along with approximately 6K likes, 549 reposts, and 161 replies within hours of its release.
This moment is particularly significant as Adéla considers Madonna one of her pop idols, alongside Lady Gaga and Beyoncé, according to Shazam. Her video even references a milk-licking scene that Culled Culture suggests Madonna popularized with her 1989 “Express Yourself” video.
Billboard described Madonna’s clip as another endorsement from a legendary pop star as the song continues to climb the charts. “Nicole Kidman” has made its way onto the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK top 40, peaking at No. 23 on Shazam’s global chart. ‘Prima’ debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
AOL reported that the song also reached No. 1 on Spotify just as Kidman endorsed it during a press tour. In the video, Adéla smears cake on herself and rolls around on the floor, a scene that has gone viral.
Madonna has had a remarkable year herself, releasing ‘Confessions II’ on July 3, her first album in seven years and a sequel to 2005’s ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’. The 16-track project features collaborations with Stuart Price, Sabrina Carpenter, Stromae, Martin Garrix, Feid, and her daughter Lola Leon.
In this context, the TikTok serves as a playful way for Madonna to remain engaged in the pop culture conversation while a new generation takes center stage. It also illustrates how far a viral sound can travel, from a glamorous Golden Globes night to a nod from the Queen of Pop.
