Michael B. Jordan has finally spoken about his close friend and Creed III co-star Jonathan Majors following Majors’ December 2023 conviction.
Majors was found guilty of reckless assault and harassment, leading to his removal from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and other major projects. While Jordan had remained silent on the issue, he recently acknowledged that watching it unfold was ‘a tough situation.’
Jordan, however, made it clear that he still supports Majors, saying, ‘He’s doing great, just got engaged.’ He was referring to Majors’ fiancée, actress Meagan Good. ‘I’m proud of his resilience and his strength through it all,’ he added.
Despite the controversy, Jordan didn’t hesitate when asked if he would work with Majors again. His answer was simple: ‘Yes.’ He even shared the trailer for Majors’ upcoming film Magazine Dreams on Instagram. The movie, originally expected to be an awards contender, was shelved after his legal troubles but is now set to release on March 21.
Majors, who was previously set to play Kang the Conqueror in future Avengers films, also spoke highly of his friendship with Jordan. On the red carpet for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, he described their bond as close and supportive, saying, ‘That’s my best buddy… If it’s Marvel, it’s Marvel that day. If it’s girl troubles, it’s girl troubles that day.’
The court sentenced Majors to complete a domestic violence treatment program in April 2024. Meanwhile, Marvel has taken a different creative path, removing his character from their upcoming films.
