The supernatural horror film ‘Bury the Devil’ has been picked up for worldwide sales by U.K.-based Blue Finch Films. This intense, single-take thriller was recently filmed at a remote location in Canada and is now set to make waves in the global market. Blue Finch will introduce the project to buyers at the prestigious European Film Market in Berlin.

‘Bury the Devil’ combines supernatural horror with a tense home invasion narrative. The story follows a dedicated nurse who begins to suspect that her newest patient is hiding something terrifying. As the night unfolds, she finds herself trapped in a nightmare where the truth is far darker than she ever imagined.

The screenplay was written by John Petrizzi and Brad Hodson, both known for their work in the horror genre. The project is backed by experienced producers Philip Kalin-Hajdu (‘The Sacrifice Game,’ ‘Game of Death’) and Benoit Beaulieu (‘Turbo Kid’), ensuring a high level of genre expertise behind the scenes.

Director Adam O’Brien took a bold approach to storytelling by filming ‘Bury the Devil’ in one continuous shot. This method intensifies the suspense, making the audience feel as though they are experiencing the protagonist’s terror in real time.

This film captures the most terrifying 90 minutes of our main character’s life, and I felt the best way to truly immerse the audience in her experience was to shoot it in a single take,” O’Brien explained. “We follow her every move—every right choice, every mistake—until she finally uncovers the horror hiding in plain sight. It’s a thrilling and unexpected take on the exorcism genre.”

Blue Finch Films has been expanding its horror catalog with several high-profile acquisitions. Recently, the company secured worldwide rights (excluding Australia and New Zealand) for the highly anticipated animated film ‘Lesbian Space Princess,’ which is set to premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in the Panorama section.

Their current lineup also includes:

  • ‘825 Forest Road,’ a horror project from the team behind ‘Hell House LLC’
  • ‘Zero,’ a film directed by Jean Luc Herbulot, which won at the Sitges Film Festival
  • ‘The Draft!,’ an Indonesian horror film that was well received at Fantastic Fest

With ‘Bury the Devil’ now part of Blue Finch’s growing horror collection, the film is poised to attract strong interest from buyers and audiences alike. Horror fans can look forward to an intense and nerve-wracking experience when it finally hits the big screen.
