The 2020 remake of Demon’s Souls by Bluepoint Games might not be coming to PC or other platforms. According to a well-known gaming forum insider, there are no current plans to bring the game beyond PlayStation 5.

This claim comes from sources within gaming forums who say Demon’s Souls isn’t expected to get a PC release anytime soon. When asked about Sony’s approach to PC ports, the insider mentioned that while some games are still planned for PC, not all of them are making the cut.

Sony’s track record with first-party PC releases has been mixed. Some games, like Helldivers 2 and Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, have done well. Others, like Returnal, LEGO Horizon Adventures, and Concord, haven’t performed as expected. Even Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 struggled at first, starting with fewer than 19,000 players on Steam before climbing past 27,000. Sony has since dropped the mandatory PlayStation Network sign-in requirement for several games in response to PC player feedback.

Despite some setbacks, Sony is still pushing forward with PC ports. The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is set to launch on PC soon, proving that the company isn’t giving up on the platform. However, the absence of Demon’s Souls from the list of upcoming ports might disappoint those hoping to play it outside of PlayStation.

While Sony is bringing some of its biggest games to PC, Demon’s Souls might not be one of them. It looks like, for now, this brutal classic will stay locked to PS5.
