‘Sentenced to Be a Hero’ Anime Reveals Three Additional Cast Members

The anime version of Yuusha-kei ni Shosu: Choubatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku is on its way. Based on the light novel by Shoukai Rocket, the show is being produced by Studio Kai and is set to air in 2025.
New cast members were just revealed. Shizuka Ishigami will voice Patausche Kivia, Shun Horie takes on Dotta Luzulas, and Shunichi Toki plays Venetim Leopool. These actors have been in some well-known anime before, including Tokyo Revengers and Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu.
This series started as a web novel on Kakuyomu in 2020 before getting picked up by Kadokawa in 2021. The seventh volume of the light novel was released this January, with the sixth having come out in April 2024.
The story has also been adapted into a manga, which began serialization in March 2022 under Dengeki Comic Regulus. The second manga volume hit shelves in April 2024.
For English readers, Yen Press started publishing the light novel earlier this year. The third volume came out in August, and the fourth is expected to be released on May 20. The manga is also available digitally on BookWalker.
With a mix of adventure and fantasy, this adaptation is already getting attention. Will it stand out among the crowded lineup of upcoming anime? We’ll find out in 2025.
