Steven Spielberg’s Upcoming Film, ‘The Dish,’ Gets New Title and Production Updates
Steven Spielberg’s upcoming movie, originally called The Dish, now has a new name. It’s officially titled Disclosure. The movie shares its name with the 1994 erotic thriller starring Michael Douglas and Demi Moore, but Spielberg’s film seems to be completely different.
Filming is set to begin on February 28 in New Jersey. The cast is stacked with talent, including Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, and Wyatt Russell.
The cinematography will be handled by Janusz Kamiński, a longtime Spielberg collaborator. One big question remains: Will John Williams compose the score? No confirmation yet, but it’s hard to imagine a Spielberg film without him.
Details about the story are still a mystery. The script, written by David Koepp, is described as a ‘two-hander’ with a UFO storyline. That’s about all we know. No plot synopsis, no hints, nothing. Universal seems determined to keep everything under wraps, so we might not hear much until closer to release.
What we do know is the release date: May 15, 2026. That gives Spielberg plenty of time to craft something special. With his track record in sci-fi and the talent involved, expectations will be high.
For now, we’ll have to wait and see what ‘Disclosure’ is all about.
