Few Hollywood couples maintain a low profile like Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney, which is why each of their date nights in New York garners significant attention. Their outings are infrequent, relaxed, and typically occur away from the glitz of the red carpet.

The couple first sparked romance rumors in June 2018 and got engaged in February 2019. They tied the knot on October 19, 2019, at the historic Belcourt of Newport in Rhode Island, surrounded by approximately 150 guests. Among the attendees were Adele, Emma Stone, Kris Jenner, Ashley Olsen, and Cameron Diaz, with Lawrence donning a stunning Dior gown.

October is a significant month for them, making their recent outing feel particularly timely. On October 9, they were spotted in New York, holding hands during a dinner with friends just days before their anniversary.

Newly released photos captured Lawrence and Maroney stepping out for dinner again on October 14, ahead of their anniversary. They were seen hand-in-hand crossing a New York street in the evening. Maroney opted for a dark double-breasted suit, while Lawrence chose a textured dark jacket paired with dark trousers.

This wasn’t their only recent sighting. On October 9, the couple arrived at Balthazar for a Friday night dinner, with Maroney dressed in a suit and tie and Lawrence in a long overcoat over a black dress. Reports indicate they mingled with friends in the lobby before being seated.

Earlier this year, they were also photographed on an early dinner date on April 30, where Lawrence wore a brown coat over a black dress. The couple seems to prefer low-key nights out, enjoying dinners with friends rather than high-profile events. A recurring theme in their outings is hand-holding, which has become a signature gesture in their photos.

Maroney, an art gallery director, is not part of the Hollywood scene, which has helped them maintain a private life. The couple welcomed two sons, born in 2022 and early 2025. Lawrence has expressed her desire to protect her family’s privacy, making these photos some of the few glimpses fans receive.

In 2019, Lawrence shared on a podcast that she met Maroney and immediately knew she wanted to marry him, feeling honored to become a Maroney. This sentiment continues to define their relationship years later. With their anniversary approaching, their recent outings suggest they are content to celebrate in a subtle manner.

Professionally, Lawrence has been busy as well. Her psychological drama ‘Die, My Love,’ directed by Lynne Ramsay and co-starring Robert Pattinson, premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, receiving some of the best reviews of her career. She also produced the film through her company, Excellent Cadaver, and reportedly filmed it while pregnant with her second child.

Although the film did not receive an Oscar nomination despite early buzz, some commentators labeled it a snub. Nevertheless, the role marked a significant return to the spotlight after her hiatus. Reports indicate she has several upcoming projects, including an Apple and A24 film inspired by ‘The Real Housewives,’ which she will co-produce.

For now, the focus remains on this quiet couple enjoying dinner and celebrating another year together. Fans will likely be on the lookout for more sightings as their anniversary draws near.
