Season 4 of ‘Invincible’ on Amazon Prime Video has elevated its power scaling to astonishing new heights. The Viltrumite War has fully commenced, showcasing the true extent of this alien species’ violent capabilities.

The Viltrumites have long been the benchmark for strength within the ‘Invincible’ universe. Nolan Grayson informs Mark that the Viltrumites rank among the most formidable species in existence, a statement that holds true in both the comics and the animated series. However, within this fearsome elite group, there exists a hierarchy that fans should grasp.

Not all warriors from Viltrum are created equal, and the series has made this abundantly clear. High-ranking Viltrumites like Lucan, Kregg, Kradd, Thula, Vidor, and Elix represent the upper echelon of standard Viltrumite warriors, though they ultimately face overwhelming odds when elite members engage at full strength.

Viltrumite biology is inherently hostile to foreign organisms, with an immune system so aggressive that parasitic life forms like Sequids cannot inhabit or control a Viltrumite host. This physical superiority translates to their combat abilities, which are impressive even among the lower ranks.

Every surviving Viltrumite embodies the pinnacle of strength in the universe, as the species eliminated all but 50 of their kind through ritual slaughter and the deadly Scourge Virus. Simply enduring those events speaks volumes about their immense power.

Thula, Lucan, and Vidor were introduced in Season 2, defeating Allen the Alien before pursuing Omni-Man, effortlessly decimating the Thraxan populace until Omni-Man and Mark intervened. They exemplify what a dangerous Viltrumite looks like.

At the top of the ranks are two names that both comic and show fans recognize with dread. Conquest’s battle with Mark in the Season 3 finale was brutal, as he toyed with the hero, injuring Mark, incapacitating Oliver, and nearly killing Atom Eve before she resurrected. His defeat stemmed not from weakness but from his desire for a challenge.

Conquest has lived for millennia with the singular goal of conquering planets for the Viltrum Empire, always sent out alone and returning bloodied, though never from his own wounds. His age alone renders him a biological powerhouse by Viltrumite standards.

Anissa is recognized as the strongest female Viltrumite, noted for her remarkable speed, even among the most seasoned members of the species. Her introduction in the series immediately establishes a threat level that few characters can rival.

As of the current season, Anissa ranks as the third strongest surviving Viltrumite, having put up a fierce fight against Omni-Man during the Viltrumite War, demonstrating she is not far behind him in raw capability. She remains one of the most menacing figures in the entire series.

Thaedus is an older Viltrumite, making him biologically stronger and more battle-hardened than his peers. After witnessing his people’s descent into chaos, he assassinated the previous Viltrumite Emperor Argall before fleeing the planet with his life. This act alone speaks volumes about his power.

In the ‘Invincible’ comics, Thaedus is a formidable combatant in the Viltrumite War, and the combined strength of himself, Mark, and Nolan was sufficient to obliterate the planet Viltrum entirely. His reputation as the founder of the Coalition of Planets further solidifies his legendary status.

Omni-Man stands as one of the most powerful Viltrumites, but what sets him apart is his compassion for others, a trait that the species does not value and which has sometimes worked against him. His emotional evolution makes him a compelling outlier in the Viltrumite hierarchy.

Nolan is considered one of the few Viltrumites to survive an encounter with the Rognarr, highlighting his extraordinary status even among a species filled with remarkable warriors. He remains one of the most well-rounded fighters the Viltrum Empire has ever produced.

At the pinnacle of the hierarchy is a name that looms over every other entry on this list. Thragg was genetically engineered to be the most powerful member of the Viltrumite race, raised in a prestigious household on Viltrum with access to elite training that, combined with his unique genetic makeup, allows him to surpass his peers.

Among all Viltrumites, Thragg is widely regarded as the strongest ever, with his combat skills and battlefield dominance placing him above every other member of the species. This reputation has been earned through a legacy that is as terrifying as it is extensive.

There is little to say about Grand Regent Thragg’s power level beyond the fact that he is essentially written to be unbeatable by anyone except Mark Grayson, representing the ultimate antagonist of the series almost by default. He embodies the peak of what the Viltrumite species can achieve.

Mark’s unique physiology as the first known Viltrumite-Human hybrid grants him enhanced adaptability, emotional depth, and accelerated growth potential absent in pure-blooded Viltrumites, providing him with a developmental trajectory unlike any other in the species. Whether this will eventually place him above Thragg is the central dramatic question that ‘Invincible’ is building toward, and the answer may ultimately define the series.
