The popular Netflix series Wednesday is set to return for its second season, bringing fresh developments for the Addams Family. In a recent chat with ScreenRant, actor Isaac Ordonez, who portrays Pugsley Addams, gave fans a sneak peek into what’s next for his character.

Pugsley will join Nevermore Academy this season, showing off newly discovered supernatural abilities. This shift changes how his sister, Wednesday, views him. Ordonez shared that Wednesday starts to respect Pugsley more because of his powers, though their sibling dynamic keeps its usual mix of tension and awkwardness. “They’re still typical siblings, bickering and all,” he noted.

The upcoming season will explore Pugsley’s personality in new ways. Unlike Season 1, where he was more emotional, Season 2 highlights his playful and oddball traits. Ordonez mentioned that Pugsley finds it tough to fit in at Nevermore, often feeling isolated as he struggles to connect with others.

Last season, Wednesday arrived at Nevermore Academy and tackled a dark mystery, using her psychic skills to stop the evil Joseph Crackstone. While it’s unclear how Pugsley’s powers will shape the new storyline, his bond with Wednesday will stay central.

The show welcomes back familiar faces like Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Fred Armisen, and Christina Ricci. Newcomers Thandiwe Newton and Steve Buscemi join the cast. Jenna Ortega, starring as Wednesday, steps up as an executive producer alongside Tim Burton, Alfred Gough, and Miles Millar, who remain co-showrunners.

Fans can catch Season 2 in two batches, dropping on August 6 and September 3, 2025.

Pugsley’s expanded role sounds like a smart move to deepen the Addams Family dynamic, and his struggles at Nevermore could make him relatable to viewers. It’s exciting to see how his powers will shake things up. What do you think about Pugsley’s new arc? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
