Industry Insider Reveals Potential Leads for Marvel’s Upcoming X-Men Reboot

Exciting news, or rather rumors, for Marvel fans! Recent rumors suggest that Marvel Studios is planning its X-Men reboot around three key characters: Professor X, Cyclops, and Jean Grey. The new team will reportedly be led by Colman Domingo as Professor X and Daisy Edgar-Jones as Jean Grey.

According to Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic podcast, Marvel is considering Colman Domingo, known for his role in Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, to play Professor X. Sneider also mentioned Daisy Edgar-Jones, famous for Twisters and Fresh, as a strong candidate for Jean Grey.

While Harris Dickinson was previously rumored to play Cyclops, Sneider now believes that the role might go to someone else. There’s also buzz that Denzel Washington could be in line to play Magneto.

Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige previously shared his excitement for the X-Men’s MCU future, saying, “I think you will see that continues in our next few movies with some X-Men players that you might recognize.” He added that the storyline of Secret Wars will lead to “a new age of mutants and of the X-Men.”

There’s no confirmed release date (or any kind of details for that matter) for the reboot yet, but fans can expect it to follow Avengers: Secret Wars, marking the start of a new saga in the MCU.
