Back in December of 2024, DC launched a new series Metamorpho: The Element Man. Created by Al Ewing and Steve Lieber, the new series brought back the quirky spirit of Rex Mason’s earliest adventures from the swinging ‘60s.

Packed with energy, joy, and a love for the character’s unique style, the comic promised a fresh yet nostalgic experience for fans old and new. Now, more than half a year later, the series is ending with its sixth issue.

Ewing said the comic did well, but issue 6 will be the last one for now. They will finish the story in that issue. The ending will be hopeful. He hopes many people will read the series later in a collected book.

Anthony Carrigan Talks About Metamorpho in ‘Superman’: “Hopefully, you’ll see that what I’m trying to do is accurate.”

Yeah it did. Unfortunately, issue 6 will be the last issue for the foreseeable future. We do get to finish…….. I think we’ll sort of leave it on an optimistic note…..it’s going to be one of those series like the word of mouth, a lot of people end up reading it on the Trade or at least I hope so”.

While his comic journey is over (for now), Metamorpho, played by Anthony Carrigan, will debut in live-action later this year when Superman, the first DCU live-action installment, premieres in theaters.
