Naruto is a long-running shounen anime and manga series by Masashi Kishimoto. Since the beginning, fans have gotten to watch the characters of Naruto grow up into adults. For those who have stuck around to see what happens after Shippuden even get to see their heroes as parents who still play a crucial role in the shinobi world.

1. Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto is currently the Seventh and current Hokage of Konohagakure. He was the original protagonist of the series Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. However, by the franchises’ third installment, he becomes the father of the new protagonist, Boruto. Regardless, he still takes a crucial role in the new series.

Recently, Naruto has lost Kurama meaning several of his abilities that involve the need for the nine-tailed fox’s chakra are no longer accessible for Naruto. However, that doesn’t make Naruto a weak character. However, He has the other tailed beasts’ chakra within him, and his chakra has grown significantly since the start of the series.

2. Sasuke Uchiha

After the Fourth Shinobi War, Sasuke decided to return to Konoha. He is constantly referred to as the Sasaukage or the “Supporting Kage ” as he actively protects the village and inhabitants as one of Naruto’s strongest allies. However, before he fully settled back into Konoha, he and Sakura traveled together. During their travels, they eventually got married and had a child together named Sarada. 

Currently, Sasuke is constantly back in the village, aiding Naruto and keeping both him and his son safe.

3. Sakura Uchiha (Haruno)

• Birthday: March 28

Because of her marriage to Sasuke, she now belongs to the Uchiha clan. She, Naruto, and Sasuke used to be members of Team 7 in their younger years, and she serves as the group’s medical ninja. In Boruto, she is the mother of Sarada Uchiha and is considered the best medic-ninja in the world. In Konoha, she also serves as the Head of the Medical Department.

She and Sasuke have actively taken part in training their daughter in recent years.

4. Hinata Uzumaki (Hyuga)

• Weight: 45 kg (as of Part II)
• Birthday: December 27

In Boruto, Hinata finally marries Naruto, and the two become parents to Boruto and Himawari Uzumaki. In Naruto Shippuden, Hinata is shown as more of a homemaker than a ninja. According to her Wikia page, in Naruto Retsuden, it is revealed that she was simply forced to become a ninja due to her clan’s expectations. If given a chance, Hinata would have chosen a different path.

5. Kiba Inuzuka

• Birthday: July 7

Kiba was a fellow classmate of Naruto who shared a similar dream of becoming Hokage. He is a member of the Inuzuka clan, a clan well-known for having dog companions to perform their jutsus. In the new series, Kiba plays a minor supporting role. However, he closely helps Naruto when it comes to protecting the village.

6. Ino Yamanaka

• Birthday: September 23

Due to her marrying Sai, who belongs to no clan and has no last name, Ino could retain her family name and clan status. Currently, she leads the Konoha Barrier Team and owns Yamanaka Flowers. She, along with Shikamaru and Choji, are former members of Team 10 and make the 16th generation of the Ino-Shika-Cho trio, the 15th generation being their respective parents. By the new season, she and Sai now take an active role in training their son, Inojin.

7. Choji Akimichi

• Height: 178 cm
• Weight: 87.6 (as of Part II)
• Birthday: May 1

 After the events of the first two series, Choji married a kunoichi from Kumogakure, Kurai. He becomes the father of Chocho in Boruto. he is similar to many members in his clan, with his rotund build and markings on his cheeks. Choji is part of the 16th generation of the Ino-Shika-Cho trio along with Ino and Shikamaru.

8. Shikamaru Nara

Shikamaru Nara is a lazy but highly intellectual shinobi from Konohagakure’s Nara clan. In Boruto, he marries Temari, and the two have a son they name Shikadai, who seems to be a replica of Shikamaru during his younger years. Shikamaru now serves Konoha as the aid or advisor to the Seventh Hokage. He is also the current head of his clan.

9. Tenten

• Height: 166 cm
• Weight: 47.3 kg (as of Part II)
• Birthday: March 9

Tenten is one of the several characters in the series that wasn’t given a last name. In the new series, Tenten has opened a tools shop where she sells ninja tools she has collected from across the world. However, due to Boruto’s time being significantly more peaceful compared to their childhood, the said shop is almost always empty. During the Chunin exam during Boruto, she serves as one of the proctors.

10. Shino Aburame

• Age: 34
• Height: 186.5 cm (as of Naruto Gaiden)
• Weight: 56.6 kg (as of Part II)
• Birthday: January 23

Shino is part of the Aburame clan, a ninja clan filled with ninjas who used insect-based techniques. Shino was the homeroom teacher in the current anime to Boruto’s generation of ninja students. However, as the story goes further and the students have graduated, Shino is less frequently seen. In the old anime, Shino was a member of team 8 alongside Hinata and Kiba.

11. Rock Lee

• Height: 177 cm (as of Blank Period)
• Weight: 54.7 (as of Part II)
• Birthday: November 27

 Rock Lee is a special ninja who is unable to do any ninjutsu or genjutsu. Instead, he focused all his energy on becoming a taijutsu master the moment he became a student of Might Guy. In the New Era, he was promoted to Jonin rank and even had a son he named Metal Lee. Who he married or who is the mother of his son is still a mystery.

Lee also serves as a proctor for the final round of the Chunin Exam.

12. Neji Hyuga (Deceased)

• Weight: 54.2 kg
• Birthday: July 3

One of the characters fans did not get to see grow up after the events of Naruto Shippuden. Neji dies protecting both Naruto and Hinata during the Fourth Shinobi War. He used his own body and life as a shield and got mortally wounded in the battle. However, fans did see him again in the Boruto era during the Time Slip Arc, where a younger Neji interacts with Boruto.
