Steven Spielberg’s upcoming sci-fi film ‘Disclosure Day’ has unveiled a new teaser, generating excitement as it approaches its theatrical release in 2026.
The teaser delivers a striking message that establishes the film’s tone, stating: “You won’t be the same after. Disclosure Day only in theaters 06.12.26.”

The narrative centers on Emily Blunt, who plays a Kansas City meteorologist with a journalism background. She is joined by Josh O’Connor, portraying a cybersecurity expert and whistleblower. Colin Firth takes on the role of a powerful corporation’s head, while Eve Hewson plays his girlfriend. Colman Domingo also stars as a former insider advocating for public disclosure, with Wyatt Russell and other supporting actors rounding out the cast.
Initial reports about Spielberg’s UFO-themed film surfaced in 2024, with Koepp attached early in the process. Universal Pictures later joined as the distributor, leading to a swift casting process over the following months. Filming occurred in early 2025 across various U.S. locations, including New York, New Jersey, and Atlanta.
Production concluded in the spring, and the film has since entered post-production. The musical score is being composed by longtime Spielberg collaborator John Williams, marking another significant reunion.
‘Disclosure Day’ is scheduled for release in the United States on June 12, with an IMAX rollout planned.
Based on the information shared so far, this film appears to be a significant sci-fi event with a serious tone and a strong cast. Spielberg’s return to UFO themes also elevates expectations, especially given the secrecy surrounding the plot. The teaser, while brief, seems designed to pique curiosity rather than disclose details.
