Kelly Reilly Teases Possible ‘Yellowstone’ Crossover With ‘Marshals’

Kelly Reilly has expressed her enthusiasm for a potential crossover between characters from ‘Yellowstone’ and the franchise’s new spinoff series. Ahead of the release of ‘Dutton Ranch’, the actress hinted at the possibility of Beth Dutton appearing alongside her on-screen brother Kayce in ‘Marshals’.

In an interview with People, Reilly shared her fondness for working with Luke Grimes, who portrays Kayce Dutton, and expressed hope that the two shows might eventually connect.

She stated, “I’m so proud of Luke, and we love him so much, and I miss him. I wish we had a crossover. Maybe we will in the future.”

This idea aligns well within the ‘Yellowstone’ universe, considering that Beth and Kayce are siblings. While ‘Marshals’ follows Kayce on his individual journey, ‘Dutton Ranch’ centers on Beth and Rip as they start anew far from Montana following the events of ‘Yellowstone’.

The new series shifts the setting to South Texas, where Beth and Rip strive to build a new life together after John Dutton’s death in the original show.

According to the official synopsis, the couple will confront dangerous new adversaries while adjusting to life outside the ‘Yellowstone’ ranch. The description reads, “As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together – far from the ghosts of ‘Yellowstone’ – they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire.”

Reilly elaborated that the show delves into a different facet of Beth and Rip now that they are no longer under John Dutton’s influence.

She told People, “Who are they together now?” and added, “They were the top dogs. Now they’re the strangers.”

‘Dutton Ranch’ stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprising their roles as Beth and Rip. The cast also features Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Ed Harris.

The ‘Yellowstone’ franchise, created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, premiered its original series in 2018, quickly becoming one of television’s biggest hits. The universe has since expanded with several spinoffs, including ‘Marshals’, which debuted earlier this year.

‘Dutton Ranch’ is set to premiere on May 15, with its first two episodes airing on Paramount+ and Paramount Network. New episodes will be released weekly thereafter.
