Prime Video’s ‘Reacher’ Officially Renewed for Season 5 Ahead of Season 4
Prime Video is set to continue the action with another season of ‘Reacher’ even before Season 4 makes its debut. Announcements during the Amazon MGM Studios upfront presentation confirmed that the popular action series has officially been renewed for Season 5.
Starring Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher, the show remains one of Prime Video’s standout successes. According to Amazon, Season 3 attracted 54.6 million viewers globally within its first 19 days on the platform, making it the service’s most-watched returning season since the launch of ‘Fallout.’
Season 4 will adapt Gone Tomorrow, the 13th installment in Lee Child’s long-running Jack Reacher book series. The new storyline kicks off when Reacher meets a troubled stranger on a subway ride, drawing him into a perilous conspiracy involving formidable foes.
The upcoming season will introduce several new cast members, including Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson.
Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, praised the series during the renewal announcement, stating, “From Lee Child’s globally beloved novels to its standout on-screen adaptation, ‘Reacher’ has evolved into a true powerhouse franchise.” He emphasized that the blend of action and character-driven storytelling continues to resonate with viewers worldwide.

Developed by Nick Santora, who serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer, ‘Reacher’ also has Alan Ritchson and Lee Child as executive producers, along with several other producers involved in the project.
Since its premiere on Prime Video, ‘Reacher’ has garnered a dedicated fanbase due to its straightforward action, thrilling fight sequences, and a closer adaptation of the original novels compared to previous portrayals of the character. Critics have also praised Ritchson’s performance and the series’ ability to blend mystery, action, and dark humor without complicating the narrative.
