Meadow Walker Joins ‘Fast & Furious’ Cast Reunion at Cannes to Honor Paul Walker
The cast of ‘The Fast and the Furious’ reunited at the Cannes Film Festival on May 13 to commemorate 25 years since the original film’s release. This heartfelt gathering featured a special appearance by Meadow Walker, the daughter of the late Paul Walker.
The event took place during the 79th Cannes Film Festival, showcasing a photocall ahead of a midnight screening that celebrated the franchise’s enduring legacy.
Meadow Walker, now 27, joined original cast members including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster. Together, they marked the anniversary of the 2001 film that launched a global action phenomenon.
Meadow donned a stylish black blazer with a Celine belt and posed for photos alongside the cast. She shared a touching moment with Diesel, who embraced her during the event, before joining Brewster and Rodriguez for group pictures.
Paul Walker, a key figure in the franchise, tragically passed away in a car crash in 2013 at the age of 40, before completing his role in ‘Furious 7.’ Meadow has maintained her connection to the franchise and its cast over the years.
She made a cameo in ‘Fast X’ in 2023 and shares a close bond with Diesel, who is her godfather.
A press release from the Cannes Film Festival emphasized the franchise’s global success, noting that the ‘Fast & Furious’ films have grossed over 7 billion dollars worldwide. It also highlighted the cast as one of the most diverse and exciting ensembles in modern blockbuster cinema.
The reunion at Cannes served as both a celebration of the franchise’s rich history and a tribute to Paul Walker’s enduring influence on the series and its fans.
