‘The Vampire Lestat’ Teaser Reveals Lestat’s Rock Star Era and Fans Are Loving It

AMC is offering fans an exciting glimpse into ‘Interview with the Vampire’ season 3, focusing on Lestat’s electrifying rockstar era. The newly released teaser for ‘The Vampire Lestat’ showcases Sam Reid’s vampire fully embracing his music icon persona as he gears up for a major tour, navigating fame, chaos, and a fair share of bloodshed.

This teaser also introduces another original song from the upcoming season. Following the release of tracks like “Long Face” and “All Fall Down,” the series is set to unveil more music from Lestat’s fictional band. Composer Daniel Hart has crafted 20 original songs for the season, all performed by Reid himself.

Season 3 signifies a significant transition for the AMC series as it adapts Anne Rice’s 1985 novel ‘The Vampire Lestat’. This time, Lestat takes over as the narrator, sharing his perspective with Daniel Molloy. The narrative follows him on a global music tour, where he gains power and fame while confronting vampires and foes drawn to his rising influence.

Showrunner Rolin Jones has previously indicated that this new season will feel quite different from the first two. During San Diego Comic-Con, he remarked, “It’ll be contradictory and hallucinogenic and strange and wild.” The creative team aimed to make the season feel larger, louder, and more chaotic to reflect Lestat’s vibrant personality.

Sam Reid also shared insights about the unique process this season, noting that he received the music before the full scripts. In an interview with Collider, he explained, “Getting music before getting a script is a real mind-bleep, because I’d never done that before.” He added that as the story developed, he recognized the depth and ambition of the songs.

Alongside Reid, returning cast members include Jacob Anderson, Eric Bogosian, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles, and Jennifer Ehle. Several new actors are joining the vampire drama as the series broadens its narrative scope.

‘Interview with the Vampire’ season 3, officially titled ‘The Vampire Lestat’, premieres June 7 on AMC and AMC+.
