Apple TV+ Prepares for Release of Tatiana Maslany’s Thriller ‘Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed’

Apple TV+ is gearing up to launch a new dark comedy thriller series titled ‘Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed,’ featuring Tatiana Maslany in a tumultuous and perilous role.

In the series, Maslany portrays Paula, a divorced mother grappling with the challenges of daily life. As she navigates her divorce and raises her children, her world takes a sinister turn when she witnesses what appears to be a serious crime.

Things escalate quickly, as the individuals involved in the crime seem to know intimate details about her life, putting her at risk. Paula finds herself ensnared in a web of blackmail, threats, and murder, forcing her to devise a plan for survival as her life unravels.

The teaser reveals Paula in a pawn shop, contemplating selling jewelry and even considering purchasing a gun. It captures her struggles with her children, interactions with her ex-husband, and her quest to understand the crime she witnessed. As she delves deeper, exploring online videos and constructing a case board to connect the dots, she becomes aware that someone is closely monitoring her, making it difficult to trust those around her.

The narrative also emphasizes Paula’s overwhelming experience as she attempts to juggle motherhood with an increasingly complex criminal situation.

Jake Johnson plays Paula’s ex-husband Karl, while Jessy Hodges portrays his new wife Mallory. The cast also features Dolly de Leon, Charlie Hall, Jon Michael Hill, Brandon Flynn, and Murray Bartlett.

Created by David J. Rosen and directed by David Gordon Green, known for his work on ‘The Righteous Gemstones’ and the ‘Halloween’ reboot films, the series boasts executive producers Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon, alongside Bard Dorros.

‘Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed’ is set to premiere on May 20 on Apple TV+.
