Pedro Pascal Surprises Disneyland Guests in ‘The Mandalorian’ Costume
Disneyland visitors were treated to an unexpected appearance by Pedro Pascal, who donned the full costume of ‘The Mandalorian’ during a special event at the park.
This exciting moment took place inside the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride at Disneyland Resort, situated in the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge area. Guests were completely unaware that Pascal was inside the attraction, dressed as the Mandalorian, until he revealed himself in front of them. The surprise was captured on video and later shared by Disney.
This special appearance was part of a promotional campaign for the upcoming film ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’. The movie continues the narrative from the Disney+ series, bringing beloved characters Din Djarin and Grogu to the big screen. Fans can expect its theatrical release very soon.
Pascal wasn’t the only star present at the Disney event. Actress Sigourney Weaver also made an appearance alongside director Jon Favreau and writer Dave Filoni. The trio was spotted enjoying a nighttime show at Disneyland as part of the celebration for the new film.
The Smugglers Run attraction is set to receive updates that will incorporate new story elements related to the film. According to Disney, the ride will introduce new gameplay moments, interactions, and surprises linked to Din Djarin and Grogu. One exciting new feature will allow riders to check in on Grogu during their mission and influence aspects of the experience.
The new film picks up where the original series left off, showcasing Din Djarin being recruited by the New Republic for a mission involving Rotta the Hutt, Jabba the Hutt’s son, portrayed by Jeremy Allen White. Director Martin Scorsese also lends his voice to the film, appearing as a shop owner.
‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ is set to hit theaters this Friday, coinciding with the launch of the updated Smugglers Run experience at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
