‘The Running Man’ Star Glen Powell Reveals Bizarre Fan Story About Eating His Face Photo
Glen Powell recently recounted a peculiar and unforgettable fan encounter during an appearance on The Hollywood Reporter’s comedy roundtable. He described a situation that still leaves him in disbelief: a fan who eats a photo of his face every day, vowing to continue until she secures a role as an extra in one of his projects.
The actor, recognized for his roles in Hit Man and The Running Man, shared that he first learned of this unusual fan during a red carpet event. While participating in the roundtable alongside Harrison Ford, Owen Wilson, Riz Ahmed, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Zach Braff, Powell admitted that the moment took him completely by surprise.
He recalled, “I didn’t know this was a thing until it was described to me while I was on the red carpet. They’re like, ‘Hey, the girl that eats your face is on the red carpet.’ I go, ‘What are you talking about?’”
The fan, TikTok creator @mynameismonique, began posting videos in June 2025, showcasing her daily ritual of eating printed photos of Powell’s face. She has maintained this challenge for over 100 days, asserting that the photos are “100% fully edible,” and she plans to stop only if she is cast in one of his films or TV shows.
Powell eventually met her at the UK premiere of The Running Man in November. Footage from the event captures the fan approaching him on the red carpet, where he signed one of the photos. Moments later, she took a bite out of it, prompting Powell to react on camera with, “This is savage.”
The actor noted that this encounter was unlike anything he had previously experienced, even in the realm of unusual moments throughout his career.
