The highly anticipated film ‘Jackass: Best and Last’ is generating buzz ahead of its Hollywood premiere, and not solely due to its outrageous stunts. According to a report from TMZ, there was some surprise regarding one of the original cast members who was invited but chose not to attend.

TMZ reports that Bam Margera was invited to the premiere of the final ‘Jackass’ movie, which is set to release next month. However, he will not be present at the event due to a prior commitment. Sources indicated that Margera is not yet ready to fully reconnect with the rest of the cast, including Johnny Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine, with whom he has had a very public fallout in recent years. Nevertheless, he is said to be supportive of the new film and hopes for its success.

Despite Margera’s absence, his parents, Phil and April Margera, are expected to attend the premiere. They have been familiar faces in past ‘Jackass’ projects and are well-known to fans of the franchise.

This situation follows a complicated history between Margera and the ‘Jackass’ team. He was removed from the previous film due to reported contract issues, which included a requirement for sobriety. This led to a legal dispute, with Margera filing a lawsuit against Paramount, Johnny Knoxville, and Jeff Tremaine in 2022, which was later settled.

Despite the conflicts, there has been some ongoing connection between Margera and the franchise. TMZ reports that earlier this year, he agreed to allow producers to use previously unreleased footage of him in the new movie. This means he will appear in ‘Best and Last,’ but only through archive material rather than new scenes.

The film is expected to be the final main entry in the long-running franchise, directed by Jeff Tremaine and produced by Tremaine, Spike Jonze, and Johnny Knoxville. The cast features returning members like Steve-O, Chris Pontius, and others from the original group, alongside newer additions from recent installments.

‘Jackass: Best and Last’ is described as a blend of new stunts, classic moments, and unseen footage from earlier years of the series. The project is being positioned as a final celebration of the franchise before it concludes.

The film is scheduled for theatrical release on June 26, through Paramount Pictures. It continues the long-running series that began as a TV show and later evolved into a successful film franchise known for its extreme and often perilous comedy stunts.

While Margera’s absence from the premiere underscores the ongoing distance between him and the main group, his indirect involvement through archive footage indicates that his role in the franchise persists in some capacity. According to TMZ’s reporting, he remains supportive of the film’s success, even if he is not part of the current cast reunion.

As the premiere date approaches, all eyes are on how fans will respond to the final chapter of ‘Jackass,’ especially with both returning stars and long-standing tensions influencing the story behind the scenes.
