Netflix’s live-action ‘One Piece’ is gearing up for its next thrilling chapter, as filming for Season 3 has officially concluded. This season, titled ‘One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta’, will immerse Luffy and the Straw Hat crew in one of the most iconic arcs from Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga.

The production team announced the wrap-up, confirming that Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu Arata, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar will reprise their roles as the main members of the Straw Hat Pirates.

To mark the end of filming, a new behind-the-scenes image was shared, giving fans a sneak peek of what’s to come.

In Season 3, the crew will venture into the desert kingdom of Alabasta, where they will find themselves embroiled in a conflict that could determine the fate of the nation. The plot centers around Princess Vivi and her efforts to save her homeland from an escalating rebellion orchestrated by Sir Crocodile and his criminal group, Baroque Works.

Netflix’s official synopsis reveals that the new season will follow the Straw Hats as they confront “a brewing civil war and a powerful warlord” while striving to protect Vivi’s kingdom from devastation.

The primary antagonist this season is Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and the head of Baroque Works. Joe Manganiello will portray this formidable villain, known as Mr. 0, bringing one of Luffy’s most dangerous foes to life in the series.

The cast will also feature several key characters from the Alabasta storyline, including Charithra Chandran as Princess Vivi, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, and Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday. New faces joining the adventure include Cole Escola as Bon Clay, Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace, Awdo Awdo as Mr. 1, and Daisy Head as Miss Doublefinger.

Bon Clay, also known as Bentham or Mr. 2 Bon Kurei, is a fan-favorite character from the original manga, and his introduction has already sparked excitement among viewers. Ace’s role is also anticipated to be significant, given his deep connection to Luffy and his importance in the broader ‘One Piece’ narrative.

This third season follows the success of Netflix’s initial live-action ‘One Piece’ season, which introduced audiences worldwide to Godoy’s Luffy, Mackenyu’s Zoro, Rudd’s Nami, Gibson’s Usopp, and Skylar’s Sanji. The series emerged as one of Netflix’s major hits, demonstrating that anime adaptations can thrive in live-action formats.

The creative team behind Season 3 remains closely tied to the original series. Joe Tracz and Ian Stokes serve as writers, co-showrunners, and executive producers. ‘One Piece’ creator Eiichiro Oda is also back as an executive producer, alongside Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe, and Steven Maeda.

Produced by Tomorrow Studios in collaboration with Shueisha and Netflix, the live-action series has yet to announce an exact release date, but Season 3 is expected to premiere in 2027.

With filming now complete, fans eagerly await the first full trailer and additional details on how the series will adapt the expansive Alabasta storyline. The next chapter of Luffy’s journey promises to introduce larger battles, new characters, and one of the most pivotal adventures in the ‘One Piece’ universe.
