Netflix Thriller ‘I Will Find You’ Tops Streaming Charts, Ending ‘Love Island USA’ Reign
Peacock’s reality dating sensation has enjoyed weeks of dominance on the streaming charts, amassing billion-minute totals that made it seem unbeatable. Such a stronghold often leads to complacency among competitors, as dethroning a reigning champion typically requires a show with significant mainstream appeal.
Enter Netflix’s latest adaptation of Harlan Coben’s work, a franchise that has steadily become one of the platform’s most reliable sources of hits without much fanfare. Each new release tends to attract a dedicated audience, only to fade from discussions shortly thereafter, making this particular premiere week’s numbers even more impressive.

According to Nielsen’s latest streaming ratings snapshot, ‘I Will Find You’ debuted at number one for the week of June 15 through 21, garnering 1.844 billion minutes of viewing time in the United States. This impressive total was sufficient to push ‘Love Island USA’ out of the top position, although the Peacock reality series still achieved a robust 1.686 billion minutes despite losing its crown.
The two shows were the only ones to surpass a billion minutes of viewing for the week, highlighting their significant lead over the competition. On the film side, Netflix’s documentary ‘Maternal Instinct’ topped the charts with 987 million minutes in its first full week of wide release.
The overall top ten featured a mix of familiar titles and some surprises. Disney Plus favorite ‘Bluey’ maintained fourth place with 927 million minutes, while HBO Max’s beloved series ‘The Big Bang Theory’ secured fifth with 924 million minutes across its extensive 281-episode library.

Netflix’s ‘Sweet Magnolias’ and the crossover hit ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, available on both Hulu and Netflix, landed in sixth and seventh place, respectively, while ‘Dutton Ranch’ from Paramount Plus followed closely in eighth.
Completing the top ten were HBO Max’s ‘House of the Dragon’, which made a notable comeback largely due to the buzz surrounding its third season premiere, and the long-running animated favorite ‘Spongebob Squarepants’ at tenth with 599 million minutes, illustrating that shows with extensive back catalogs can still compete with this week’s most talked-about new releases.
It’s important to note that Nielsen’s streaming ratings only account for viewing on television sets within the United States, meaning the totals exclude minutes watched on mobile devices, tablets, or computers, as well as any international viewership. Given that ‘I Will Find You’ has also been reported as a strong performer internationally based on Netflix’s internal data, its total global reach is likely even greater than this domestic snapshot indicates.
For ‘Love Island USA’, losing the top position is unlikely to pose a significant threat to a show that has consistently demonstrated its resilience over multiple seasons on Peacock. However, for at least one week, Netflix’s Harlan Coben adaptation managed to achieve what few shows have accomplished this year, knocking America’s reigning reality favorite down a notch.
