Gwyneth Paltrow Joins TikTok With Hilarious First Video That Fans Love
Gwyneth Paltrow has officially made her TikTok debut, and her first video is anything but ordinary. The actress and Goop founder took a humorous approach, entertaining viewers with a quirky travel montage that showcases her in various locations.
In the video shared on Paltrow’s official TikTok account on Friday, July 31, the Oscar-winning actress filmed herself in multiple spots across Europe. The clip features her in iconic locations such as Paris, an Italian garden, a mountain, a museum, a boat, a helicopter, and even an airplane.
Rather than simply introducing herself, Paltrow transformed the video into a playful travel montage. Throughout the clip, she changes outfits and glasses while speaking in several languages, including French and Italian.
The video includes some unexpected moments, such as Paltrow lounging in a bathtub and another scene where she is lying in bed. It concludes with the actress humorously asking, “Can I please just make this f—ing TikTok?”
Paltrow captioned the video, “Apparently I’m on TikTok now,” marking her first post on her personal account. While she had previously appeared in TikTok videos through Goop’s official page, this is her first venture into creating content for her own profile.
This move comes as Paltrow continues to expand her Goop lifestyle brand. Launched in 2008 as a simple health and wellness newsletter, Goop has evolved into a comprehensive business offering beauty products, food, kitchen items, and various lifestyle goods.
Just before joining TikTok, Paltrow promoted one of Goop’s latest products: a unisex body wash. In an Instagram video shared on July 21, she discussed the product’s creation while sharing her personal routine.

“If I’ve been somewhere with a lot of people and I need, like, a good scrub down: body brush, sage myself and then shower,” Paltrow explained while detailing her refreshing routine.
She also mentioned that developing the new body wash was a lengthy process, emphasizing her desire for the product to appeal to everyone.
“This body wash we worked on for a long time,” Paltrow stated. “It was really important to me that it have, like, a very grounding, beautiful smell. Black pepper and the ginger.”
Paltrow highlighted the importance of making the product unisex, as her husband, writer and director Brad Falchuk, sought a shower product that wouldn’t dry out his skin.
Her TikTok arrival illustrates how even established Hollywood stars are discovering new ways to engage with audiences online. Instead of a polished celebrity introduction, she embraced humor and self-awareness, crafting the kind of casual content that resonates with TikTok users.
With her first video already garnering attention from fans, it seems Gwyneth Paltrow may have found a fresh platform to showcase a different side of her personality.
