Marvel Studios’ anticipated ‘X-Men’ reboot is reportedly nearing the completion of its main cast, with nearly the entire mutant lineup believed to be finalized. This project has been a hot topic among fans for years, who have been crafting their dream casts long before the studio officially announced a new version of the team.

According to insider account @ApocHorseman, Marvel has secured most of the significant roles for the reboot. However, it’s crucial to note that Marvel Studios has yet to officially confirm the full cast, meaning that many of the names circulating should be regarded as speculative rather than confirmed.

The project gained renewed attention with the introduction of Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day.’ Her appearance is seen as a significant step toward integrating Marvel’s new version of the X-Men into the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Sink’s casting had been rumored for over a year before it was confirmed. The actress even discussed the speculation during an interview with Entertainment Weekly last November, stating that she had heard the Jean Grey rumors before she knew what role she would be taking on.

Following Sink’s debut, reports emerged that Samara Weaving had joined the upcoming ‘X-Men’ film as Emma Frost. If true, Weaving would be one of the first officially confirmed additions to the new mutant team alongside Sink’s Jean Grey.

The rumored cast lineup circulating online includes several notable names. Reports indicate that Inde Navarrette could portray Mystique, Charles Melton might take on the role of Beast, Cailee Spaeny could play Rogue, Jayme Lawson might appear as Storm, Drew Starkey could be Cyclops, Adam Driver is rumored for Mister Sinister, and Bill Skarsgård is being considered for Professor X.

Some of these rumors have gained traction due to comments from the actors themselves. Navarrette previously mentioned on Variety’s Up Next podcast that she met with director Jake Schreier. When asked which X-Men character she would like to portray, she expressed interest in Mystique, stating she “giggles” whenever new X-Men casting rumors arise because she “knows the truth.” Her remarks have sparked increased speculation among fans.

The villain side of the casting rumors remains uncertain. Adam Driver was initially linked to Magneto, but newer reports suggest he may instead be playing Mister Sinister. Meanwhile, Skarsgård has reportedly been among several actors considered for the role of Professor X.

One of the biggest unanswered questions is the casting of Cyclops. Several actors, including Cooper Hoffman, Harris Dickinson, and Drew Starkey, have been rumored for the role at various times. So far, no official confirmation has been made regarding who will lead the new team as Scott Summers.

Director Jake Schreier is set to helm the project, which is expected to introduce Marvel’s mutant characters into the MCU after years of anticipation. The film is also expected to build on the groundwork laid by recent Marvel projects that have started integrating X-Men-related characters into the franchise.

While fans may need to wait a bit longer for official confirmation, there are high hopes that Marvel will unveil more details during Disney’s upcoming D23 event. A full cast announcement would likely be one of the most significant Marvel reveals in recent years.

For now, fans are left to follow rumors, insider reports, and subtle hints from actors as they await the official announcement of the next generation of Marvel’s X-Men.
