‘Avengers: Endgame’ Re-Release Presale Tickets Available This Week Before ‘Doomsday’
Marvel enthusiasts have much to anticipate this year, but few events can match the nostalgia of seeing Earth’s Mightiest Heroes unite on the big screen once more. With ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ approaching, Disney is ramping up excitement through a series of theatrical events that connect the Infinity Saga to what lies ahead.
This connection is now taking form. ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ rebranded for its return as ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore,’ will hit theaters worldwide on September 25, allowing fans to experience the franchise’s most poignant chapter before ‘Doomsday’ debuts in December.
Presale tickets for the rerelease will go live this coming Monday, featuring select IMAX showtimes in various cities along with other premium large-format screenings at specific theaters. This rollout provides fans an early chance to secure seats for one of the year’s most awaited cinematic events ahead of its official release date.
The rerelease is not just a straightforward replay of the 2019 version that transformed superhero cinema. Marvel has indicated that this presentation will include a custom introduction, new footage directly linked to the ‘Doomsday’ storyline, and a special end tag exclusive to Infinity Vision and IMAX screenings.
Director Joe Russo, who co-directed the original film with his brother Anthony, shared insights on the rerelease’s timing during Disney’s announcement at CineEurope. “It’s critically important to rerelease the movie, and, in fact, we’ll be re-releasing the film with footage that is set in the Doomsday story that we have added to Avengers: Endgame,” Russo stated during the CineEurope presentation, emphasizing that the new footage aims to connect the two films.
He elaborated on the rerelease as a means to create a bridge from ‘Endgame’ to ‘Doomsday’ in a unique way, noting that the original film’s immense success made a theatrical return particularly fitting. This aligns with how the Russos have positioned ‘Doomsday’ as a direct continuation of the emotional stakes established in ‘Endgame’ back in 2019.
The rerelease also allows Disney to introduce Infinity Vision, its new premium large-format certification program tailored for this series of Marvel releases. This system is designed to help audiences find the best available screens in their vicinity, whether that’s IMAX, 4DX, Dolby, or another certified large-format option, and both ‘Endgame Encore’ and ‘Doomsday’ will utilize this designation.

There’s also a significant box office aspect fueling interest in the rerelease. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ originally earned over 2.7 billion dollars globally, ranking just behind the original ‘Avatar’ as one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
If the rerelease manages to generate enough additional box office revenue, it could potentially elevate the film’s lifetime total past the symbolic 3 billion dollar mark, a milestone no film has ever reached. This possibility alone has stirred excitement among box office analysts and dedicated fans eager to witness the franchise achieve a record no other film has accomplished.
‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ arrives approximately twelve weeks before ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ which is set to premiere on December 18 and will bring back much of the franchise’s ensemble cast, including the returning Robert Downey Jr., who will portray Doctor Doom instead of Iron Man this time. For fans who have been longing for another full-scale Avengers team-up, the return of ‘Endgame’ to theaters serves as a fitting way to reset the emotional landscape before the next chapter unfolds.
With presale tickets launching soon and IMAX showtimes expected to sell out quickly in major markets, fans eager to relive Marvel’s biggest team-up should act fast.
