Netflix UK Renewal Wave Everything Coming Back Including ‘The Gentlemen’ Season 3
Netflix’s UK lineup has become a cornerstone for the streaming service, seamlessly merging gritty crime dramas, reality favorites, and exciting originals to keep British viewers engaged. The platform has cultivated a dedicated audience across various genres, from gangster tales to dystopian narratives.
Over the past year, this momentum has intensified, with numerous shows quietly concluding production or entering new phases without much publicity. Fans have been left to piece together hints about what’s next, leading to rampant speculation on social media.
Now, Netflix has put an end to the uncertainty with a significant announcement. The streamer has confirmed renewals for a large selection of its most popular UK titles, including new seasons of ‘The Gentlemen,’ ‘House of Guinness,’ ‘Legends,’ ‘Being Gordon Ramsay,’ and ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive,’ along with updates on several other returning favorites.
At the forefront is ‘The Gentlemen,’ which has been renewed for a third season even before the premiere of Season 2. Creator Guy Ritchie expressed that the show’s ambition has expanded alongside its narrative, making a third season feel inevitable. He looks forward to pushing the boundaries even further, as noted in a statement shared with Televisual. Season 2 is set to debut on September 3, featuring returning stars Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, and Vinnie Jones, alongside newcomer Hugh Bonneville.
‘House of Guinness’ is also returning for Season 2, with filming for the six-episode continuation set to commence in January 2027. Creator Steven Knight expressed his excitement to delve deeper into the story of one of the world’s most renowned dynasties and explore the increasingly intricate relationships among the characters, as reported to Variety. Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, Fionn O’Shea, and James Norton are all expected to reprise their roles.
‘Legends,’ Neil Forsyth’s undercover customs thriller featuring Steve Coogan, has also been renewed for a second season, which will further explore the late 1990s, with production slated to begin in 2027. On the unscripted front, ‘Being Gordon Ramsay’ is confirmed for Season 2, promising fans more of the chef’s unique blend of culinary and personal storytelling.
Several other shows had their futures secured but received fresh updates with this announcement. ‘Black Mirror’ Season 8 is already in production, while Rapman’s superpowered drama ‘Supacell’ has completed filming for its second season. ‘Black Doves’ is set to return later this year, featuring Keira Knightley, Ben Whishaw, Sarah Lancashire, and Ambika Mod, with Neve Campbell joining the cast for the new season.
Reality television is also thriving. ‘At Home With the Furys’ is currently filming its third season, ‘Love Is Blind: UK’ has already secured a fourth season before its third has even aired, and ‘The Rest Is Football’ is returning for the 2026/27 Premier League season, adding an exclusive Sunday recap episode alongside its regular Monday and Friday installments.
Completing the announcement is ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive,’ which Netflix has confirmed for a ninth season that will cover the ongoing 2026 championship, expected to release sometime in 2027.
Anne Mensah, Netflix’s Vice President of UK Content, summarized the extensive announcement by stating that audiences clearly love these shows. She expressed her delight in bringing them back and thanked the producers, actors, writers, directors, and crews behind each series.
With a diverse array of gangster sagas, superhero dramas, dystopian anthologies, and reality staples confirmed for continuation, Netflix’s UK offerings show no signs of slowing down.
