’30 Rock’ Cast Reunites for Exclusive One-Night Show in New York
Television reunions have become a cherished tradition in recent years, with beloved casts often finding reasons to come together for a nostalgic experience. However, few shows have cultivated a dedicated, quote-loving fanbase quite like ‘NBC’s’ cult classic workplace comedy, making any reunion announcement an exciting event for long-time fans.
That fanbase is now receiving exactly what it has longed for, albeit not in the expected format. Instead of a streaming special or a scripted revival episode, the cast will unite for a unique and intimate live show that will not be broadcast or streamed anywhere afterward.
Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, and Jack McBrayer are set to reunite for a live 20th anniversary celebration of ’30 Rock,’ scheduled for October 11 at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, precisely twenty years after the show’s original premiere on NBC. This event is being promoted as “a never-to-be-televised event,” meaning the only way to experience it is to attend in person.
Fey announced the show with her signature humor, referencing a real quote from the late TV critic Tom Shales, who once suggested that the series needed “a better premise and funnier dialogue… and most of all a more commanding performer in the starring role.” Fey’s invitation cleverly played off that old criticism, framing the anniversary as a celebration of a show that ultimately proved its critics wrong.

In addition to the nostalgia, the event has a significant philanthropic mission. All net proceeds from the show will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Harlem, with the organization’s president and CEO, Shaba R. Keys, expressing appreciation for being named the celebration’s charitable partner. The funds will directly support after-school, academic, and career programs that assist over 2,000 young people in Harlem each year.
The choice of venue also holds special significance for fans. Radio City Music Hall is located directly across the street from the actual 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the real-life building that inspired the show’s title and setting, giving the reunion a meaningful full-circle quality that fans are likely to cherish on the night.
Ticket access for the event is tiered, with a presale starting at 10 a.m. ET on the Wednesday following the announcement, followed by public sales opening at the same time the next day. Given the show’s passionate fanbase and the rarity of a full cast reunion of this magnitude, ticket demand is expected to be extremely high from the moment sales commence.
Although the show concluded its original network run over a decade ago, its cultural impact has only intensified, with fans continuing to quote its rapid-fire humor and absurd storylines long after its finale. A live, unscripted, unrecorded reunion seems like a fitting way to commemorate two decades since Liz Lemon first stepped into 30 Rockefeller Plaza, offering fans a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the ensemble share a stage again.
For those unable to attend in New York this October, the strictly in-person nature of the event means there will be no option to catch it later.
