LEGO’s Ultimate Collector Series has long set the standard for what dedicated adult fans expect from a premium Star Wars set, consistently delivering impressive builds filled with screen-accurate details. This reputation was further solidified last October with the record-breaking $999.99 Death Star, and now the company is taking things to the next level with its latest reveal.

Star Wars collectors have been eagerly awaiting an updated Executor for years, especially since the original 2011 Super Star Destroyer UCS set sold out and became a coveted item for those who missed it. Rumors and leaks about a modernized version have circulated for months, with details gradually becoming clearer over the summer.

Now it’s official. LEGO has introduced the Executor Super Star Destroyer (75457), a massive 6,130-piece Ultimate Collector Series set that stands as the longest LEGO Star Wars model ever created, measuring an impressive 53.5 inches long, over 7.5 inches high, and 20 inches wide. The set is priced at $799.99, nearly doubling the piece count of the original 2011 version, which had 3,152 pieces.

This scale places the new Executor among the largest sets in LEGO’s entire catalog, not just within its Star Wars collection. At 53.5 inches, it surpasses even the previous record-holding Titanic set (10294) at 135cm, although it still ranks just outside the top ten largest LEGO sets by total piece count, landing at 14th overall behind sets like this year’s 12,060-piece Sagrada Família.

In addition to its impressive size, the set’s minifigure lineup is generating significant excitement among longtime collectors. For the first time ever in a single set, all six bounty hunters from “The Empire Strikes Back” are included alongside Darth Vader: Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss. Dengar features a refreshed backpack build, while IG-88 comes with a newly molded head. Previously, assembling this complete roster required collecting several separate sets, including the original 2011 Super Star Destroyer, the Slave I 20th Anniversary Edition, and the Bounty Hunter Speeder Bike Battle Pack.

The set also features a smaller microscale Star Destroyer displayed alongside the main Executor build on its stand, enhancing the display’s scale to match the Imperial flagship’s significance in the films. LEGO has designed the minifigures to be showcased on their own section of the ship’s bridge, reminiscent of the iconic bounty hunter briefing scene from “The Empire Strikes Back.”

The Executor Super Star Destroyer will be available to LEGO Insiders members starting October 1, 2026, with a broader public release on October 4. Those who purchase the set between October 1 and October 10 will also receive Darth Vader’s Lightsaber (40897), a 174-piece gift-with-purchase set, while supplies last.

As LEGO Star Wars prepares for the franchise’s 50th anniversary celebrations next year, this Executor release appears to be a fitting highlight for 2026’s lineup, offering collectors one more essential centerpiece before an already leak-heavy 2027 slate begins to unfold.
